What stories/characters would you have liked to have been followed up on

I mean, that's a bit of a tautology.

They treated her like an unimportant NPC since the fact she can die in most playthroughs means she was an unimportant NPC.

She just looked important because she was in the opening gameplay. :)

Thats precisely why i dont expect much Meredith/Takemura content in the future.

This is distinctly possible. Though it wouldn't be too difficult to change it to a story of her being a huge corporate whistleblower or something. Also there is the trans part of Claire's storyline and they left that in there.

Thankfully Claire's trans story is actually sweet.

It's the fact that her husband didn't know about her past appearance that makes the surgery element problematic as that fell into some unpleasant storytpes or at least that was the argument my friend posed--even though in the future the kind of surgery there renders such concerns to be akin to "I used to be a redhead."

WHEN GRAVITY FAILS had this as a big element of it. But I can understand why CD Projekt Red would be gunshy.

Meredith is dead in my save :(. Not cool when the game almost promt you to hack the pendrive.

What I am saying is that they treated her like an unimportant npc. And if they made new content, many of us wouldn't even see it since it is a character that can be dead in your game.

It's a very good way to advice player about corporate culture where everybody is utterly replaceable. IMO how CDPR showcases this is very good, but I wonder if, as it happens very early in game, there are players whom aren't yet in terms how things work in this universe, what cyberpunk is and that.

Politics / corporations would allow more scenarios to explore that for players whom don't read the shards and don't do jobs / gigs where V sees more about that side of corpo life.

Till they fix the endings nothing really.

But if they manage to pull that off Meredith for sure. Liked her bitchy character on first sight.

Well for characters theres almost anyone could be expanded upon, i would love to see dlc story packs expanding characters storys my favourites would be
Meredith stout , always felt as a upcoming militech corpo rather than a one nite stand she would move heaven and earth for v to get that relic chip for militech ,oh and save v to , my favourite future romance option (sorry judy)

Sandra dorsett , there was so little ingame about netrunning and netwatch really a big dlc could be fun , and aye after meredith she would be a great romance option.

Id love to see a full faction system with a gang rep,merc rep and police and daily missions to build or lose reputation offering unique weapons,outfits,vehicles even apartments depends on who you help out.

Night city such a big vibrant city theres so much room for a vast amount of content and story to be told, wouldnt mind a little lockup thats in game to be able to do a bit of netrunning outside of the story parts though obviously needs to be a reason to.

I think 1.5 did a good job of padding over some of the major flaws of the main storyline with the abruptness of the quest completions. They may have only done it via text messages but I actually think they still did a decent job of making sure it felt like there was a follow-up. It also gives us a framework of what they'd be willing to do in the future as well as well as how they might tackle any further updates. Mind you, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the "end" of those story updates too.

1. The Fixers getting a final message and quest reward at the end does make things feel a little more final with them. It's only a minor detail but that and adding the "Fixer Rep" system also indicates that you weren't just doing a bunch of random jobs for them. I also like V's commentary at the end in their journal.

2. The Romances getting a bit more detail even if it's in-text also helps things feel a little bit better and more organic as they're spread throughout the game.

Claire's husband did know, though. She mentioned that he brought flowers to the hospital after her gender reassignment surgery. I timestamped the part in the video where she talks about it.

Yes, in large part why Claire is well liked by all the trans community as far as I've heard.

It's just they absorbed the controversy from the ads and the character creator before meeting her. Which is a shame.

Another one I'd like is a follow up to the Voodoo boys Netwatch situation. A few missions for each side and siding with one over the other locks you out. Also if you side with the Voodoo boys and still kill them all that also locks you out. Basically giving me a reason not to take the easy decision of savagely murdering all off them.

It always seemed to me that she wasn't just running from disapproval or embarrassment. You don't put yourself through something that comprehensively invasive without an exceptionally compelling reason. I always imagined that someone out there, individual or corporation, wants her dead. That would also be a very good reason for her to have not told her husband about it. If she's that afraid of being found, then the less he knows, the safer they both are.

One of my complaints about the game is the relatively minor issue that I feel a lot of the stories and characters don't have follow up that would have made them more interesting.

* Max-Tac
Some side quests would be nice, but I wouldn't be interested in a huge story line.
* Trauma Team
Not sure where this would be going. Rescuing civilians? Sounds a bit repetitive IMO.
* Voodoo Boyz
Hell yeah. When it comes to developing quests, I think that there's a lot of space for creativity. Prequel, as well as Sequel (unless you have decided to kill them.)
* NetWatch
If it has a great story, I'll take it.
* Lizzy Wizzy
Boring.
* Meredith Stout
Instead of a follow-up, I'd rather like to see a better introduction in form of a prequel. I feel like she could have been replaced by Adam Smasher and it wouldn't make a difference to the main story.
I feel similarly that we could have gotten more River, Kerry Eurodyne, and Yorinobu Arasaka too.
What about you?
Yorinobu has been a big part of the main story, but I can see some potential for a prequel story, similar to young Lara Croft, in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. ; Eurodyne has been a big part of Johnny's story line, but some additional side quests might be fun.

.

It would be great to extend the story of the following characters:
1) Meredith Stout, as well as the Militech corporation, which is the corporation that supplied Johnny with the nuke to blow up Arasaka tower. Note: in my opinion Johnny is just an angry rocker poser. In the end, he was always a pawn of Arasaka's enemy corporation;
2) Rogue Amendiares and how she survived. Clearly she sold herself out to corporations, becoming the "Queen of Afterlife";
3) The Peralez and everything that involves Mister Blue Eyes. I strongly suspect there are connections to NightCorp;
4) NetWatch and its fight against rogue AIs.
I could be wrong, but if CDPR bets heavily on expansions adding more clarification, we will realize that the main villains, in this case, Arasaka, is not that "bad" after all. In the end, this game doesn't have a super villain corporation, but a villain that goes unnoticed in the game: Alt Cunningham, the one who invented the psychophage.

According to the lore (source book), Alt wasn't/isn't a "vilain", even if in the game the doubt can be appear. For example, she help Netwatch to build the Black Wall to protect humanity against "rogue AIs". ;)
The true "super vilain" (the devil, hence the name of the ending if you ask me) isn't Arasaka indeed, but it's Saburo :D

For me it's kind of important vignette about that world. Who knows really, maybe she was a Tyger Claw, one that actually managed to get away but there's also that environment, say her work, part of being able to have that life, not only with her husband, but also professionally is how she looks, her reinventing herself. I think far more universal than trans allegory what's going on there as that world is where anyone can be any color or gender, world past identity politics.

As many others have mentioned, more Peralez story... Poor paranoid fuck I turned him into. Let me go after that security firm.

Brendan. Missed opportunity, even though they did a nice job with this anyway. Perhaps he and Garry could have a common quest, that relates them. I dunno, Garry sucked and Brendan was interesting.
