what, Ryse?MM360 said:This game looks amazing. Honestly I can't wait to play it![]()
I'm a huge God of War fan and I love ancient Rome so this game is shaping up to be something really special for meHicSuntDracones said:what, Ryse?
It looks good and apparently the main campaign will also have gods taking sides in the conflict but in a much subtler way than, say, god of war.
But I am biased because Civis Romanus Sum![]()
well then you should know that they hired a historian that specialized in Roman warfare to teach the mocap actors how to fight like roman soldiers (note all main actors are theatre/stage actors...which is a plus).MM360 said:I'm a huge God of War fan and I love ancient Rome so this game is shaping up to be something really special for me![]()
Been following this game since I saw the first trailer at Microsoft Conference - day 1 purchase for me as wellHicSuntDracones said:well then you should know that they hired a historian that specialized in Roman warfare to teach the mocap actors how to fight like roman soldiers (note all main actors are theatre/stage actors...which is a plus).
The game is partly historically accurate too as it takes place during Nero's reign and specifically during the revolt in Britain. Historical characters will make an appearance too (like the female leader of the gauls and such).
it will be one of my day one purchases....but that said the only thing I would ever want CDPR to look at and take from this game would be the NG+ function (and maybe the gladii)
I am glad to hear that. I dislike the fact that so many people mindlessly rash on it for no better reason, apparently, that it is an Xbox One exclusive and, at the time, everyone was hating the Xbox One.MM360 said:Been following this game since I saw the first trailer at Microsoft Conference - day 1 purchase for me as well![]()

Well, it's my opinion - not whole company's, but there are some people other than me, who are very excited about this projectAvydia1 said:So... Everyone blaming on me for my post and actually CDPR likes the game!! ahah that's a gratification. Thanks CDPR !
yes but Ipse Dicsit is a powerful argumentMM360 said:Well, it's my opinion - not whole company's![]()

I gave you your reputation back. I think one should only negative rep if the user posts something that's mean. Then again usually the mods tend to that. Anyway, I still stand with my point. Ryse is just a totally different game with a different time setting as well. Despite The Witcher world being a fantasy world. Fantasy is comparable to cultures around 1400- 1700.Avydia1 said:well... that's an "illi dixerunt" ...

Pretty sure people aren't too much into the game because of the QTE-filled combat mostly.HicSuntDracones said:I am glad to hear that. The game has great potential.
oh BULL**** there is no more QTE (which are not QTE really) in that game than there are in Batman Arkham City (button prompts were also removed) the combat system of which is ALWAYS lauded in every single review. If you played the game you know this to be true.ReptilePZ said:Pretty sure people aren't too much into the game because of the QTE-filled combat mostly.
I'd say that's a legit reason.
@Avydia1 Just because a member of the CDPR staff likes a game doesn't mean features from said game should definitely be implemented in TW3.
I dunno, from what I've seen it's pretty QTE-heavy. The worst part is that, unlike in Batman games, the QTE's in Ryse seem to immediately trigger a killing blow - something that doesn't happen in the Batman series. It's more like the 'I win' combat in AC.HicSuntDracones said:oh BULL**** there is no more QTE (which are not QTE really) in that game than there are in Batman Arkham City (button prompts were also removed) the combat system of which is ALWAYS lauded in every single review. So legitimate my ass

not anymore they do not, now they work pretty much like Batman AC including the mandatory timing for effective blocks.ReptilePZ said:I dunno, from what I've seen it's pretty QTE-heavy.
