...WOW. Didn't think it was possible to get Sard to burst a blood vessel!

I like bright, showy colors. Would be cool to have your weapons in those hues.

I think paint should be a customisation option. No point going on a stealthy mission with a neon orange rifle. Right tool for the job and all that.

Going back to the origional question, I think I can simplfy my origional answer.

I would like to see a broad mix of new, old and 'antique' weapons. It's always nice to get new shiny stuff, so some new wepaons would be great, especially if they look like that utterly mad machine pistol that Wisdom linked. I also want to see iconic wepons from 2020, like the Crusher and the M31a1. Lastly, I want to see some Antiques, like MP5's and Browning .50 cals.

3D printed guns as an option was raised in another thread, and I have to say that 2020 already has the technology, with CAD and Autofactories. Being able to design a weapon this way, from scratch would be utterly awesome, and it should be expensive.

Hm, I don't know- I think it's pretty badass to go into a stealth mission with neon colors, haha. If anything, that would increase the challenge in completing the mission :p But yeah, paint jobs should be optional.

This is probably the best place for these questions:

Has anyone got any first hand xperience with these:
I am curious how similar their performance is compared to a standard 2.75 inch cartridge.

Also, anyone seen this thing:
Again, any opinions and/or first hand experience?

lastly, I saw this and I thought it was awesome:

Hm. VERY curious about the minishells. I'm wondering if the rate of failure (failure to chamber correctly, failure for the spent shell to clear the chamber) is significantly different from standard shells.

The last vid looks like a standard "kit" rifle, built up from an AR-15 receiver. It's just short of mind-boggling how much aftermarket there is for that platform.

The Nemesis is interesting. No hands-on experience from me, though.

If you go to the second video, the dude has tremendous problems cycling rounds... and once the shell fials to eject at all, he has to pry it out with a knife. It would probably work better in a system that was actually designed to fire those stubby little guys though.

And yeah, I really have never been that big a fan of the AR platform... probably because it's just so ubiquitus. I recognize its afin weapons sytem, but it's like easy listening to me... I want something with a little more edge.

The nemesis would be a decet weapon i a situation where you are scrounging for ammo.... but other than that I see no real advantage to using it... and the fact that he goes on and on about the bipod and it's features makes me believe that the weapon itself isn't really worthy of discussion. It's like a car salesman who won't shut up about the factory radio.

They'd probably be fine in an old fashioned break-action shotgun, but good to know for modern shotguns.

Given my druthers, I'd prefer to build something up off the Kalashnikov platform, or something chambered for .308 / 7.62 NATO. Bigger round = bigger hole, right? =p

Hmm. Good observation.

Suppose I'll reserve opinion on the Nemesis, until I see what it can group at 100m or 400m.

I love the gun Wisdom posted earlier - the one with the circular mag in the back. That thing is awesome.

Additionally, these are some great designs from a guy on deviantart:

It's not bad. The older versions is still good too.

Kudos to the first one who can post a decent Crusher SSG.

I just saw the movie "The Yellow Sea" and I would love to see old fashioned blunt weapons.

Plus my favorite stealth game would probably have to be Manhunt 2 with the gun executions. I would love to see weapon executions for the stealth players to enjoy, of course complete with a silencer and subsonic ammo. Or plain melee weapons for the enjoyment. Personally, I will upgrade myself with countless cybernetic blades.

Blades that protrude out of my elbows and knees for savage Muay Thai combos.

32 pages with most people not having played the PnP. Not too surprising. Some good stuff here anyway.

If I had a concern it's that we will see too many non-PnP weapons in the game. Which will make it, well, less CP2020 for me. And since the weapons were integrated with corporate style - Arasaka famous for it's shotgun, Militech for the light AR, Malorian Arms with their handgun line - these new weapons will also dilute the Cp2020 world,

Guess we'll find out.

Well, to be honest, most of the weapon art from the books was somewhere between "meh" and "good god that looks awful".... so they have a giant list of guns that most people will be completely happy with if they make them look somewhat decent.

Hell that was the impetus behind Ultra-chrome, me taking Andrew James list and adding images to everything... including replacing some of the more gawdawful images.

Which is why, even though it looks neat, I was actually kinda disheartened to see the drastically changed crusher, as it was one of the few guns in Cyberpunk that looked awesome... but I will say the 12 gauge upgrade was sorely needed...

Oh, yeah, I wasn't speaking so much of the art as the weapons themselves - characteristics, balance, foibles, history, etc.

If CP2020 has one failing, it's the art. And the Italian Pornovision Edition did not help.

Yes, yes I know that's just my opinion. It's the only one I have and the one that matters the most to me, so who else's would I use?

Yeah,..... never been a big fan of the second edition porn art...

Images of the tech are extremely important, especially since not everything is given a weight, or even size description... plus, its a game whose motto is style is everything, and yet the tech art was just abysmal in places...

Chrome 2 definitely had the best art of the books overall, but even it left out vehicles gear and weapons...

I for one will be very happy if they keep up the styling they applied ot the Crusher.

Admittedly though when it comes to styling, I either tend to favour the 'Seburo', (primarily the later stuff like that found in GitS SAC and the 2004 Appleseed remake,) look of Shirows work or 'chunkier' stuff, like the NC weapons in Planetside 2:

I was flicking through some good old FPS Russia Youtube clips, when I came across this:

I had no idea these 'Bump-fire' stocks existed. They sound like a very clever way of getting around the Full-Auto weapon regulations.
