So put the capacitors in 'magazine', job done. Must be why the game that was written almost 25 years ago specifies that they are capacitor lasers...

And I have 20/20 vision, (pun intended,) so I would head to specsavers if I were you.

Oh i only have one eye will all the fine vision (the other was taken by my own immune system) and wear glasses, so i am acutely aware of how fragile and interpretive vision is. :D

cyborgs could totally be using the ATP - ADP conversion that regular humans do, just more of it, given it has a energy density of about 3.4 kj per mole, which is about 450g of the stuff, humans have a bout 250g total in the body on average, a cyborg with 4 kg of it could do a lot more work and just eat a lot to replenish stocks.

I dunno, wild stab in the dark. all depends on what the basis of the tech is.

Not much of the body left to do that.. Just the brain and "just maybe" some of the "other" parts.. But those are optional..

I know that will be what the back ground says, but honestly the brain is dead with out the support system, or a replacement there of.

I'm not sure if we are talking about same thing... I'm just saying it wouldn't work as efficiently as the biological human body would.. So it would still had to require/rely on some very powerful battery.. Thats what i'm saying..

I really like the styling of the District 9 weaponry, but I am not a fan of their operation.

How about some improvised/field repaired weapons? I wouldn't mind seeing some in the combat zone/wastelands..

It would also be nice if we could cobble together a few broken weapons and armor.. The cobbled together armors and weapons would carry characteristics from both weapons/armor.. Just imagine the possibilities..

I remember something like this were already suggested:

This is not the greatest of examples, but it could be similar to Fallout raider armor. 3 parts from this armor, 2 parts from that armor and you have a unique looking jury-rigged armor.

Another example would be Mad Max's leather jacket/armor:

Newly created armor would show parts from both armors.

^^ gary pretty much nailed it, on the armor front. This would assume hit locations. Let's say you find an old leather jacket (or find a "donor" for said leather jacket.) It's a bit rough around the edges, and it's missing a sleeve, but it'll give you a small bit of protection, in the instance of melee attacks.

Somewhere along the way, you find an old piece of some kind of impact armor, likely for melee attacks as well. Cobble them together, and you have what we see pictured above.

So, I'd expect complete armor sets would be able to be broken down to individual components, covering varying hit locations.

I'd expect some weapons to have a certain "cobbled together" look as well, though there'd be a lesser degree of interchangeable parts. You might be able to swap a scope between a handgun, a rifle, and a SMG, but less likely a stock or magazine.

It is a great idea, it has never been done before and if anyone could pull it off, it is CDPR..

Street tech. The whole concept is well documented in the "Wildside" source book. I would say that this sort of tech would be very common at the bottom of the food chain. Even the weapon customisation rules in Solo of Fortune 1 & 2 describe how it is very common to reappropriate parts from weapons others would consider antique and using them to create weapons that will go toe-to-toe with modern weaponry.

It is a shame that no other game ever attempted such a thing.. I mean, i would love to slap some armor on every clothing i find :D Similar to that "Tailor Maid mod" Fallout 3 and New Vegas had.. Just brilliant.. (I think i mentioned that before..)
(In this case, it would be take apart an armor and use its parts on other armors you see, it is certainly a lot more complicated, which makes it a lot more brilliant.)

Revolving shotgun:

Service Revolver Shotgun:

(This beast of a weapon shoots 12ga shotgun shells, technically it is a sawed off revolver shotgun.. Oh yeah..)

MTs-255 Tactical Revolver Shotgun:

(This is same with above weapon, before they cut it down on half to turn it into a pistol)

I can't say I like the first knife. Sure it would do some horrendous damage on the way in and out, but the fact it is basically limited to being used to stab is a bit of a fail in my book. You just couldn't slash or cut with it easily, if at all. Also, it's sheath looks like a masochists dildo.

I think you are right. It's just that I prefer practicality in a knife.

I completely agree, i wouldn't use this knife either.. But like i've said, it still kinda fits in Cyberpunk.. Just imagine a drug induced bloodrazor stabbing himself with it.. Oh joy.. :D

I also prefer larger knives to small ones. Comes from being a chef for a few years. Hate little knives. I cut myself more with little knives than big knives. Then again I cut myself more with scissors than I do knives and I barely use scissors at all.

If I get to have a Sniper Rifle, or at the very least a scoped rifle or a scoped assault rifle with zoom, im good. :)

Oh and silencers and/or suppressors to... lots and lots of silencers and/or suppressors!

My playstyle is basicly the same with all modern and/or sci-fi games where firearms are available... I sneak around close to all the time (be it necessary or not), observe the enemy and/or the area, and often for huge amounts of time.

I look for the best ways to move through an area, where all the available entry points are to buildings or areas, where goodies and loot might be... and I especially observe the enemies patrol patterns.

I figure out where the best place is to take out each individual guard as silently as possible, so that no alarms are raised, and once I am done with my scouting I then decide if I need to snipe at long range (often due to no ability to take them down undetected, few snipers can equipt/come equipt with silencers/suppressors, atleast in early game, so it's mostly going to be loud), or sniped headshots at short/point-blank range with silenced weapons (like rifles, assault rifles (usually set to single shot), or powerful enough handguns)... sometimes I will take them down with melee, but it's rare and mostly if for some reason using my firearms is not optimal.

I rather take 10-30 or more minutes scouting the area and taking down the enemy silently, then go all Rambo spray-n-pray and be done with it in a minute or 2. One shot, one kill, at the right time, is what I go for most of the time.

Strange thing is that in Fantasy games I never go for the ranged characters. In Fantasy games I am totally the heavily armored (plate armor if available), one handed sword (I ALWAYS use Swords in fantasy games) and shield wielding, guy... who sneaks around all the time... XD Which is not all that different from Sci-Fi games... except the weapon part... ranged rather than melee, rifles rather then anything else.
