Well, now I think about it, caseless uses an electric charge instead of a bolt and pin. The weapons would not necessarily operate by gas or recoil, maybe an electric feed like a minigun?
If there is no ejection port I guess the only other option would be to take out the mag and eject that way.
At least hang fires would be far less lethal, what with no brass to contain the combustion gases...
It'd take a "bit" larger battery (or whatever) to operate a weapon electrically then to merely detonate a primer on the rounds.
And if your "hang fire" is the same as mine I suppose they might be a bit less lethal as there's no casing to rupture but for the most part you still get a flash-fire explosion and the possibility of the bullet winding up someplace you really don't want it.
I vote for an ejection port and some sort of ejection mechanism even on (better quality) weapons intended to use caseless ammo. Because even in 2070 no ammo is going to be 100% reliable.
