Sorry in advance for the little rant, but i have to vent for a bit

I have finished the game. All fine and dandy. Enjoyed it.
But then the penny dropped. I looted a ton of shinies while doing the end-game quests. I looted legendary items available during the "nothing-else-to do" cutscenenes. Big grin on my face! But for what? Once the credits roll you have two options:
1. Go back to the last save before the point of no return. Bear in mind it is doing basicaly a load game. It is not sending you back into the game with all the loot you got since then.
2. Start a new game from the scratch. No NG+.
So? Why the loot? Why dangling it in front of me (of us) without being able to use it?
Dear CDPR, let me remind you of a Company that some 13 years ago was pushed by its publisher to launch an unfinished game. That Company gained my admiration and support because half a year later it came up with the proper version of the game, the one they've always intended to launch, but not given enough time to. They called it the Enhanced Edition and gave it for free to all who played the buggy game in the first place. They did right by their fans.
That Company went out to launch two of the best games in the history of video-games: Assassin of Kings and The Wild Hunt. I loved those immensly, but it was not the quality of those games that made me love the Company that created them. It was the pride if doing things right i have seen in them.
I am waiting for that Company to come out and do right by me, and all who read this post.
