What would Fix the game for you?

+
hey guys and cd projekt red here is what i think would fix the game for me and some other people
1.more character customization options for v in-game so i can pick more body types/eyes etc. you get my point
2.better AI like with the cops and stuff
3.wall running when you have mantis blades equip and have it be in some places around the city or job/gig's
4.mini games or let us play the arcade game's that are in the city
5. add brutal takedown's when you have any blade weapon equip
6.remove the female holograms behind the glass in joytoy's/world and put real npc's in them and have both male&female wear sexy clothes that fit the place or have the females be topples with sexy underwear and males wear sexy underwear
7. uncensor what is being censored and i'am not going to say what it is because it been talked about from others on this website and in the threads and i don't want this thread to get censored/blocked
8.remove the kids from game because in a game like this it just looks out of place because when i was playing there was one walking around joytoy and i'am like what? a kid should not be in a place like ithis
9.gore could be turned up a bit
10.add the red glowing sword back into the game like in the trailer because i want the sword it looks so cool
that should be it oh one last thing does anyone know when the next update for the game is coming out ? i would say more but what i would say most people have all ready talk about. :)

I really enjoy the game but I finally realised what I missed. Random encounters (like in red dead 2).

There is that one guy that is being beaten up by the police in some alley. Its not even a quest, you can shoot the police and ask the guy for some money, thats it and its doesnt have to be more than that.
This is scripted to that one location but it could might as well be an event that could be unmarked and have 10 spots it could happen in until you run into it.

Just some small stuff that keeps me from using fast travel because I could run into some random minor thing.

Imagine this. You are driving and some guy by the side of the road is waving you in because his car broke down and he is late for a job interview. If your technical ability is high enough you can fix his car, if you have completed Delamaines quest you can call him a cab or you can borrow him money for a cab.
He calls you later and he got the job and pays you but if you borrowed him money there is a 50% chance he never calls you.
Easily missed but it could happen randomly anywhere until you actually stop.

Or what about a random deciple of Gary the prophet. Just a few lines and "yeah, I have heard about him" or "what the heck are you on" then Gary could have just one extra "I know you have heard about me" line tossed in.

There is flaming crotch man so there should be more cyberware malfunction going on. Not like all the time but lets say a handful of times per playthrough.

A thief running out from a store and someone yelling "stop the thief". You take him down and return the stolen goods. Thats it.
Lets say there are 30 stores that could be robbed, just have a 2% chance of there being a robbery when you walk closer than x meters from it.

There are some interesting conversations going on in the city you can stop and listen to but I would like some random things with like 30-60 seconds interactivity.

I am on my second playthrough and eventually you are just checking of markers because you know there isnt that much going on outside of those locations.

it's obvious the game needed at least two more years of development to live up to its promises. CDPR doesn't have the time nor the ressources to complete cyberpunk, but it can be saved. make it a series of story missions, delete the open world liberty of movement in the game as it was empty and showed way too soon its limits, stop pretending it's immersive and full of life and focus on the story, which was excellent. delete every gimmick that helped support this idea of liberty but ultimately fell flat: delete cars, crafting, weapon & character customization. as it served no purpose aside from pleasing the rpg lovers. the witcher 3 worked perfectly without character customization, and the various weapon we found were enough to use as is without having to tinker with them.
add real AI, and physics god dammit. and the shops, omg the shops... the economy is broken & they almost never sold precious stuff, having shops as of now is completely unnecessary, one can go through the game without having nor wanting to go visit one.
night city is beautiful, and the illusion works as long as one doesn't try to interact too much, or else the curtain falls. imo, it was the perfect setup for a series of mission like call of duty or some basic fps game that focuses on the story, it lacked too much for it to be for an open world game.

I doubt it'll gain any attention as it is more or less a repeat of the same noise but the simplest list I could provide and the only things I could ask for are as followed:

- Areas where gangs dominate (areas where I see their distinct graffiti and their story implications of control, for example) should have more presence, not just transparent and loosely respawning locations. There are only a few actual areas where enemies respawn by simply walking out of range, such as the beach near Pacifica. Having more areas to fight gangs and actually having something to fight in general in a three to five minute stroll around the city would be nice, considering my plethora of weapons, utilities, and otherwise that never get utilized.

- More than three enemies in a group in the non-event and unscripted spawns. Space them out, maybe? Contagion is already strong enough but I do not need Short Circuit to clear an entire group on accident. I appreciate the opportunities to use my Projectile Launch System but I would like for it to not clear a group by itself. This takes us to the next point!

- Difficulty! Wait, skip to the next part because this is very important!

- Stats that actually affect the gameplay and/or stack together to create for those unique builds and wacky settings that actually existed in the pen and paper Cyberpunk that you derived the whole game upon. I should be able to run stupid fast at the sacrifice of all damaging ability and vice versa, but alas, most of the stats are moot and worthless, lacking in functionality entirely, and are there simply to pad and excite you to keep playing while the game artificially makes you stronger. Armor with four slots? Plug those rare mods in baby because the developers masked their unbalanced gameplay by simply scaling your damage up to what they anticipated the players would have wanted by endgame. Big numbers that make no sense and are tied to player level, not actual stats. Take off all of your armor and fight naked at level fifty, you'll understand.

- Back to difficulty? Just give us bullet sponges in the meantime. Enemies fall over instantly because the game loaded far too much damage onto the player without ever thinking to provide a challenge or reason to have these abilities. Area of effect abilities should not be room-clearing abilities but complementary damage to my primary build. Instead, I end encounters without even starting them by sheer grace of Quickhack design, which is their most developed system in the game if you consider how broken stealth and how utterly meaningless it is to specialize in weapons. Seriously, never put a point in a perk and you can still stroll through the game on Very Hard without a sweat once you reach level twenty.

- Police chases, Maxtac, bla-bla. Already been mentioned everywhere.

- Cars on the streets. If this is based in California, you're impossibly mistaken if you think the streets of a densely populated, fictional Night City would even let you take the streets to begin with. Sucks for gameplay, yes, but maybe make it a setting? I have never purchased a car in my hundred hours of gameplay as walking/running through the city is more rewarding due to the sights seen, atmosphere, and so on.

Simple changes, really, because they mostly would require NPC placement and re-implementing the chase AI that actually exists in their code (see the Police Pursuit AI video and the analysis). Beyond all of that, this is a very, very solid release that was unfortunately left unpolished because of working from home and lacking the proper field testing of various levels of hardware. Was it what they advertised, for the most part? Yes, for two years what they were showing is what we received. We just set our expectations impossibly high but give this game time and it'll age like fine wine. Unlike competitors, their focus isn't on a hacker(hmm)-friendly multiplayer.

A better stat/perk/leveling/streetcred/cyberware system. Especially a better cyberware system with WAY MORE choice, cosmetic and cost other than just the amount of slot you have ...

Hell, there should be a 6th stat dedicated to cyberware with perk and stuff (In the tabletop game the ''cyberware'' stat is EMP (Emphaty) that give you Humanity Point that limit the amount of cyberware you can get before losing your mind to cyberpsychosis).

Here some exemple of stuff they could add to the cyberware :
- Power kick or legblade (why only punch in game ?)
- Grapple arm - to climb higher ledge or hook an enemy mid fight or sneak semi-range take down
- Add utility to monowire like remote hacking (whould need a hacking revamp to nerf ping a bit ...)
- Be able to to use berserk/ Scandevian with a cyberdeck (maybe limit cyberdeck with hard intel requirement)
- Gorilla arm could give you a +6 body to open stuff up
- Monowire could give a bonus to hacking
- New utility arm/hand that give a tech bonus to some action (aka tech stuff) (like multi joint hand / swissknife hand)
- Thermal/X-Ray vision mod for eye (see throught wall will active but limited range view + see in black/white or tharmal scale)
- Skilljack - were you can slot perk shard with specific perk you can loot in the world (even if you dont have the stat requirement for the perk).
- Voice modulator that let you switch your voice between male and female
- Low-light lens that give you better vision in dark area
- Anti-Flashbang eye mod
- Zoom eye mod that control how far you can zoom with your eye
- Smuggling compartement (leg or arm) that let you pass a weapon in section of the game where you can't.
- Better armor cyberware that is more than just one slot that increase the overall
- Metabolic Enhancer that boost consummable effect
- Tazer hand
- Pheromone dispenser (could give you bonus dialogue / better bonus against a sex of your choice)

and all the cosmetic jazz - Color leg, hand, face reshaping etc etc ...

Cyberware should be cap somewhere else than just the amount of slot you have.

Please, CDPR, if you're reading, these are actually awesone ideas.

If CDPR won't do it, then, PLEASE, MODDERS, I BEG YOU: MAKE IT COME TRUE!

we waited 8 years, is this what you expected?

Nnnnnnot quite. At first I was expecting something like a modern day W3 / New Vegas. After listening to the Twitch streams where Mike was the GM my expectations changed a bit.

what would fix the game for you? in your honest opinion?
what could the red devs add/remove/fix in this game it make it better?

In short? More approaches and impacts of your build, better AI, more fleshed out main story. Let me explain.

I would like to see more applications of background and perks in dialogues, like in New Vegas - if you didn't have say, Guns 45 at a conversation it didn't break the quest (glaring at you, container, with 4 BODY requirement to move) but if you had it added a few extra lines and more XP and several cases could answer with INT 8 or Medicine 55 and so on. I was honestly expecting to use COOL a lot more and it's disappointing to come up so few times and makes little changes there.

More approaches to same problems. Some doors require high TECH or BODY level and nothing else will let you open it. Why not more approaches? You could use 14 TECH for quiet entry, or use 12 BODY to break through or 6 REFLEX to shoot the lock off for example.

Better AI - I need not explain that I think.

More fleshed out main story: I put 170 hours in my first run. About 140 are side quests, gigs, NCPD contracts and some of them are very entertaining and would even deserve a DLC to follow up (hello, mayor Peralez). Act 1 handles it more or less well, after that quality just drops in my experience. 3 gathering quest and boom, final choice. That's it? OK, I know this game is not W3 but can't help but to compare them. In W3 the setup was practically the same - 1 tutorial and 3 gathering missions then big fight and then the end but somehow that felt more organic. Can't tell why.

Oh and allow us to configure key bindings, as a left handed player this is pretty awkward that i can't map movement to arrows.

Oh and let us give Panam/Judy/etc. booty calls! Why can I get joytoy services but not my lover?????

Two main things :

- The bugs with our own character movement (for instance hovering along in the air after using jump boost cyberware and huge speed increases when running/jumping down hills, etc.)
- The civilian AI is fixed (examples : traffic being more realistic on motorways/roads and not regularly disappearing in the distance instead of actually approaching, pedestrians not being stuck in crouch when fighting starts off.)

Two others :

- Minimap zoomed out further when in cars/on bikes.
- Being able to change appearance after character creation.

The minimap is already fixed on PC with a mod, the character appearance would be great but not essential, so the last two aren't as big for me personally.

If the top two are done and well enough this game will be up there with the best I've ever played. It's already close now because so many aspects of it work well for me. Am at around 110 hours played at the moment, still loads of stuff to do, places to explore, etc. I think the game is awesome for the most part and hoping for bug fixes.

I love driving ‘inside the car’ ie. first person rather than seeing the car (3rd), but you can’t see any of the road, it’s like a 4yo has got behind the wheel. They must change this to make it useable. Also, as others have mentioned, the minimap (gps) system is hopeless when driving as it’s too zoomed in and turns are not shown until you are already upon them, the amount of times I slam on and crash and then U turn is comical. Zooming out the minimap would also help to find fast travel locations, drop points, your way, realise what side of a building/ your objective you’re at, instead of having to go to the menu, use the main map and zoom in and out repeatedly.
Only other big issue I have is with looting. There’s iconic/legendary items in your backpack which don’t do anything, Evelyn’s Legendary handbag is just sat there (and 100 other similar items) and no explanation why you’re holding onto them. Also, a way to disassemble on a multiple scale would be less time consuming. Having to individually disassemble everything less valuable than what your currently equipped with takes forever. Same goes for crafting, if I make 100 grenades I’m sat pressing ‘craft’ 100 times with a pointless pause whilst the bar rises and you can do another. Then I dismantle the same grenades and I can choose how many I want to dismantle. Eh? Why make it harder to make than dismantle?
One last thing. I’m on PS5 and the latest 1.06 update hasn’t fixed the crashing, in fact it’s worse.

PS love the game though, kudos to the devs for all the hard work put into all the storyline and sideline depth. Some of the little chance encounter stuff has made the game for me. More romance options/depth needed though, Panam is ghosting me and I gave her my flower. Having slept with Panam and Kerry, I expected one of them to be pi$$6d off but neither care that I’m a cheater.

What a world we now live in, (2077 obv)

loads more to add but typing on my iPad is a pain.

These are few suggestion I believe can make this game as the best immersive RPG. They have very good foundation with the world and art style is just fabulous. Night City is very gorgeous and main story line is very good for single play through at least. Now come to point what it needs to turn it around.

1. AI overhaul even if they have to lower the crowd density. Make it more organic.

2.Police and police system overhaul as promised in previous vidoc's (exp. you can bribe police and influence it)
proper chase and no police teleporting( this also applies to random NPC no more vanishing )

3.Proper RPG system should be implemented. More choices we should see it taking effect in game.

4. More shops more things we can interact with. Like a barber shop and body modification shop where we can change our features. More mini games so that we can spend time and hang out with companions (like GTA where we can call them)

5.Proper crafting system( i am ok with destiny/borderlands like loot dropping ) but make sure when I craft a gun it should be unique in a way that it can progress with me. Its level should increase or I can upgrade its stats. It has to be personal that I have been using it for so long.(exp I can increase my gun stats by infusing it with better stat gun I found. It will unlock slot or cosmetic based on how long i used it)

6. Outfit system should be overhauled. Stats shouldn't define my whole look and its Cyberpunk if V want to have and iron skin he could get a modification on his body to make his skin hard or something. That would make it even more immersive imagine if i want more bullet resistance I go to modification shop and get some kind of implants on my skin which will make me more bullet resistance or fire whtever and I can put on any outfit to suit my style.

I believe CDPR have way more smarter people than I am probably they have all these idea already and working on it or they already had them but couldn't add into rush launch for some reason. I think CDPR will make this game classic RPG. They will support it and will add almost all the features we were promised. It bummer we got game in this state but they can turn this around.

Fix ingame itemization so i wont have to save load before going into store or looting item from body (only to get the max slots on item). Also crafting needs to change when you want to craft a uncomon component from 20k common components then you need to click craft 2k times. Its a bit excessive. Love the story and graphics raytraycing realy shows here the power.

Yeeting it in a trashbin and remaking it from scratch ditching the "open world structure" . This would be a good start.

For the Porn BDs that I bought to finally work!! For a game that allows customisation of genitalia, it sure is mild. Geralt certainly had more joy than V!

There is actually a whole quest line that involves Gary. Its attached to the one where you investigate the Mayors murder. Do these then play the end mission (any where you attack Arasaka) and you'll get even more in depth with the quest.

I just want to play the deep next gen RPG they advertised.

The first 5 hours were really my head was swimming with anticipation.

Omg! There are brain dances and I could jump into new scenarios!
NOPE.

Oh wow so every Ripperdoc I go to is going to sit me down and in an animated and immersive way I can make my frail human body into a synthetic super weapon?
NOPE.

WOW! This game is so adult oriented, that must mean I can expect no reservation when it comes to sex and other adult themes.
Maybe for once Romance actually means something in this game besides an awkward sex scene and the NPC losing relevance.
NNNOOOOPPPPE.

Oh cool I start in this crappy appartment and this crappy car so that must mean in an immersive way I will be upgrading my house and car?
Haha nope!

Wow look how big city is, that must mean I can just stumble on random interesting encounters where my decisions matter not only for that quest but also the main story.

Haha not even close.
Instead i got my map with many icons mixed with many inconsequential icons.
Icons that random NPCs I have never met start texting me or calling me for short exposition of why they need to die or whatever... or hey want a car? Like... lol what? What heck am I playing? Assassins Creed in 2010?

My decisions dont matter. Either I do the quest or I dont. Whether I spared an enemy or I was a vengeful person who had no mercy... it doesnt matter.
All the main story needs to know is IF i did it. Not HOW i did it. So my story would be no different than some else who did the same quest in an entirely different way.
Frankly its embarrassing.

I thought the entire game was like the initial quest where you stole the Flathead. My mind was racing of what my action's would impact my relationship with Meredith Stout and how Militech would be involved in the main quest.

Nothing.
All i got was a weird scene and a dildo.
Gee.
Thanks CDPR.

What would I do to fix this game? For the bait and switching to stop.
Stop teasing me with this demo and give me the game they advertized.
That's it.

Nothing. I am not willing to let good money lay idle while I wait an unspecified amount of time to achieve an unspecified goal. In relation to this game I am only willing to accept a refund, and I expect that to occur in a reasonable amount of time.

There is one thing that I am far more interested in fixing:

I'm weirdly impressed yet disappointed with the game. I like it more than AC: Valhalla, but it clearly has tons of unfulfilled potential and is marred by way too many glitches. My top 10 list of improvements (not sure it honestly needs fixing beyond the unoptimized state, bugs and glitches) would be:

1. Better AI. Both in and out of combat.
2. Better balance. You can do damage in the millions per shot and be immortal which is beyond ridiculous.
3. Better police/wanted system. Less Matrix teleport, more Max-Tac airlift.
4. Reflective surfaces allowing you to see your own character (from mirrors that work w/o clicking to 3D targeted ads).
5. Darker nights + night vision cyber eyes (should be integrated in base model not needing mod slot).
6. More customization. From added crafting specs (headwear esp. in shortage), to hair saloons to cosmetic surgery clinics.
7. Better vehicle handling (already pretty good mods available though). Maybe a hover car if possible.
8. Option to re-map any function on keyboard or mouse. The current restrictions are simply unacceptable!
9. Romanceable girl/boy next door.
10. Option to buy new apartments and reason to return to apartment. Maybe a fatigue/tiredness system that will promote a more immersive behavior. Special chemical/cyberware existing to negate need for sleep (with eventual crash, possibility of psychosis).

Accusing developers of lying is not an argument, it is an accusation and absolutely unfounded so far. Or worts, using BUGS ... As if the developers were able to predict and avoid everything. This is ridiculous, empty and sympathetic argument to try to support a false and frivolous accusation !!!
If i may, what would fix the game for you? Genuinely wondering.

Top Bottom
