well, we now for sure that the next witcher game is coming for the consoles too...be it sequel or expansion i just hope they dont give the pc users a cheap port of the console version like Elder Scrolls cause that might be the downfall of the witcher

I like to see a sequel with Geralt. But not a expansion but a real good The Witcher 2 or I also like a prequel with the dwarf fighting his war.I'm also a big fan of the Thief-series. So a new game with a thief that has stolen one or two of the Witchers secrets would bee a excellent idea.

Hi there people,The Witcher is a real amazing SRPG and i like it very very much, BUT what i miss is exploration. So i wish me that Gerald will be able to swim and dive in The Witcher2. Some hidden Caves, deeper Dungeons with cool riddles. Please CD Projekt make W2 with more RPG-Adventure Feeling.Best, and a happy new year to CDP and all Witcher Friends....ZG

Nice wish for the new year, sound more like a Tomb raider fan. You are right it would add some real novelty to the game play. I hope your wish gets granted. Since this could only happen if the game dev's start thinking outside the little black box. Since they are real sticklers for adhering to the original script from the book, i wonder if they would take your wish into their consideration.

Just finished the game and all can say " CANT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL " The Witcher is now my all time favorite RPG displacing the likes of Oblivion and the Gothic seriesCongrats to all the people at CD Projekt it is a awesome game . Iits great to see a small company create a game this good and show that big names and lots of hype dont always produce a good game ( looks in the direction of FSS and HGL )The witcher just begs for a sequel and hopefully also The Witcher 2 , you just have to look at the sales numbers and read the media reviews to see that CD Projkt would be insane not to . :D

Well, I for one cannot wait for an expansion/sequel. I just finished the game aswell, love the final movie. Haha.New options, more fluid transitions even, new content, new story, new gameplay idea's..... (Selvec, your comment included.)Patch 1.3 + expansion in one strike? ;D (Nah, just kidding.)I feel sorry for the people that feel like they wasted there money here, but there are other places to complain about that. Be adult about it.Hope, that with the expansion they can resolve your problems. I don't see why they cannot make it right and include the fixes with the expansion for you guys. (Damn, here I go again...)I still have issues with the game putting me back to my desktop after some time. Usually after loading an area. Yes, it's annoying, but that didn't stop me from firing up the game again. I can live with it.But I don't want a patch now if they can include the fix with the expansion. I (And CERTAINLY with a sequel.)Savvie?PSTarsusDK, where did you get that info? (Sorry, don't come around here much, was to busy with the game. ;D)Now where can I buy the books here? :p

If you live in Belgium, I assume you know French? You can use http://amazon.fr/ to buy the French versions of Sapkowski's books (the first two books are available in French for now).

Thanks for the info! :)I ordered from Amazon.co.uk before I came back here though. LOL. Normally my first language should be dutch, then french and then english... Right now i's dutch, english, french. :-\But still, thanks for pointing it out.My god, i'm so drawn into the world of witchers now. Going to download a bunch of stuff from gametrailers.com, bought the book, and thinking about getting the movie + series and wonder if the sword is made for real to? Then I can hang it next to my Highlander sword. ;DBut shttt now, and back to topic! ;)

This is not good idea - if you really like the Story - this could be a big disappointment for you. Game models books very well, every detail they have placed in game you will find in novel (that was a great supprise for me) . I have read all 7 books about Geralt - Sapkowski is my favorite polish writer. But the film it`s totaly disaster. Apologize for my english.

No need to apoligize. But you are right, looked around on the internet and people are not so happy about it.And since the last book of the series is not translated yet... If someone would PM me with the answer to this question:What excacly happened after Geralt died? Did they bury him or what? Bleh, wished they'd step a bit on it.

I think it would be plain stupid if they would not make a sequel or at least an expansion pack. No one really expected (at least here in Finland) that The Witcher would be this good game. Nameless gaming house from Poland, right, disaster was expected. But no, game sold amazing amount of copies ( info from here and general assumption), received top numbers in famous game rewieving sites, almost flawless game, though every game has its good and negative sides, but they are all opinions and everyone is entiled to have one, nonetheless game is in its own category one of the best. Continuing The Witcher would be a success.

Is TW the only game cdproject released so far? Dunno about a sequel , of course i will buy it but i would like to see them (the Devs) making something new , of course small European gaming developers usually stick to a subject and expand on that ( like Paradox , Egosoft) so i expect something in the same field .

You should order the second book, "The Sword of Destiny" in French, though, since the book is going to be skipped by the English publisher - Gollancz decided to skip the 2nd short story collection and go straight to the novels.
