I would like to see the ability to trade up unused talent points. After awhile I was allocating bronze talent points to stuff I don't use just to use them.

Hi all, Tits appaling for such a great RPG to harbour such shallow minded fans like yourself. I read through the blogs of ideas on the page and felt that it was all crap- spoilers that would mutate the witcher into a witch. These are my sublime and ultimately superior thoughts about what the new witcher sequel should posses. Firstly, being a renonwed monster slayer ain't easy.. duh. Not that geralt aint up for the job or that vampire mistress seem just to voluptious to slay. Its the remeniscience of his actions that haunts him most. I would depict him as a modern day hitman. Damn do they have the kinks and chics. But when they reclude quietly into meditation, the ever elusive peace they yearn for no longer resides with them. Instead, within the inner sanctuary of their convulsive emotions, delves a dispicable foe. An enemy with eyes more repulsive than a bassilisk, with fangs that would scare vampires and a heart that an obsidian golem would be proud of. This formidable foe, is the very tormented soul of the man himself. Everytime those infamous vertical pupils dilate in the dark, geralt would start to envision the moment a drowner incises a lock of his prominent platinum-blond hair or the near fatal laceration acquired by a beserk ghoul. This is only foreplay to the witcher. He knows only too well of the following cut-scenes. When those pallid eyelids blindfolds his vision, he teleports through the portal of his amber-yellow retinal, into a chamber of his deadly resolve. Witcher neutrality, paganism, fornication, salamander, triss, shani, alvin... Rivia... Geralt finds himself mucked up between a rock and a hardplace. Life in the fastlane... as wide as a thightrope, has radically mutilated the faculties of his conscience. His mind is perpetually perplexed, yet, he collects no fear or doubt. The many dialogs with people he acquaints with, depicts a priest reiterating their last rights... What if the words were different. If only Triss was a better babysittter or Shani a better lover. How did Carmen made love at night... Bewildered but still composed, Geralt comtemplates further. He endres in this fixated pose. His kness poised and still. The mystery of his enigmatic identity unravels sedately, at a pace that would more likely lead to his demise, then satisfy his insatiable pursuit for what he conceives as "the truth". Dawn breaks. Geralt had hardly caught a wink. he cinches on his studded jacket and stow away the potions he made the night before. He leaves the inn. Only one fear remains-Geralt. In the sequel, we see geralt striving to come to terms with himself. Would he die at the blade of his own sword, perhaps peservere and bear the cold winter. Or could geralt finally grasp the intangible truth of his identity. Only time will tell... Regards

Seriously i would like to see a sequel or a prequel with a coop option, limited of course to maybe 2 or 4 players with the game scaling in difficulty as more players are added. I do understand the difficulties (hardware, storyline, etc) of making this request a reality, As for the story in that eventuality maybe Geralt could be the witcher master and the player could be a witcher in training starting from basic swordmanship to the ultimate test where you may or may not survive the mutation process. If you survive the mutation process you are then sent out to the world to seek your destiny.

For a sequel, I'd like to see the rogue witcher (witcher assasain) in the final cutscene developed into a main quest hooking up Geralt with Vessimir and possibly Erskel. As a possible secondary main quest or overarching side quest "Leo's Progeny" Leo was never fully mutated hence not sterile. The object being to find the child/youngman and protect him from those who seek to kill him or use him against the witchers. The finding of Leo's Progeny could produce an argument between Geralt and Vessimir as to wether Leo's son should be subjected to the trials to continue the witchers legacy regardless of wether or not the neccessary mutagens could ever be produced again. Also, seeing that King Foltest was the target of the failed assasaination, perhaps that could be used as a vehicle for the re-introduction of Thaler (head of intelligence.) While in no way pivotal to any quest, Dandelion needs to be brought back simple because he brings so much character to the story. If Druids are to be brought back, I would like to see more Druid specific quests. Maybe a little expanding on herbalism/alchemy. Some abandoned mines/dungeons with sulfur and phosphorous. Some mandrake roots growing in the wild.

I have seen some people wanting to be able to continue playing .At one point , I will agree with them .If CDProject makes a sequel with some sort of quest engine soquests wont stop , perhaps more talking as well , larger areasto run around in , perhaps even put in a jump , and being able tothrow a bomb ......Should they begin to go that direction with their story in the future ,I believe more people would actually get the game , due to its content .A large game , much larger than it already is , and with the toolsetcoming up for release , it would be a game that never ends .Whatever you decide CDProject , my wallet is waiting for your expansions .

The Witcher was a fantastic game. But there were a few things that could be better. What I liked very much:==================- The rendered cutscenes were greate. I hope in "The Witcher 2" will be more cutscenes like these.- The combat-system was great.- The story was good.- I liked that the decisions you made could change the whole story of the game. So you are motivated to play the game again.- I like the raw atmosphere. What I disliked:============- The german synchonisation.- The unreal barriers (like for example: some bushes or a little row of stones which isn't half a meter high, but Geralt couldn't pass it). Why can't Geralt jump or swim?- The inventory is too small and why aren't the items be sorted automatically?- Why did the Weapons didn't have strength-points. Some weapons have a strength of 30 percent, but others have a strength of 15-24. How can I compare these two different values?- The alchemy is too circular.- There a not enough unique items. There should be more armors like the one of Raven or more strong swords (pherhaps in combination with quests).

In all honesty "more of the same but with a new storyline"Often sequels try hard to be bigger, better, different and they end up not being any good. I loved the witcher for what it was, while I look forward to the improvements comming in the enhanced download I completed the witcher with the first patch and enjoyed it completly i.e. the few flaws where crushed under a huge weight of quality story and intresting gameplay. As long as it dosn't stray too far from the current games winning formula I'm already sold on buying a sequel. I'm just sad I'll have to wait several years no doubt ;)

A fleshing out of the noncombat venue of the game above all else, including skills that pertain to it. And of course I don't want to see consolization, general dumbing down a la Oblivion, or any other horrible thing like that. Also why does everyone want female witchers? This isn't your typical politically correct happy equal rights land like many others, so why spoil that? Sorceresses should be the exception, not the rule. I have gathered that there were none in the books anyway.

Lol! This has gone off-topic a bit eh? No matter! My opinion is that if the Developer does land a second Witcher project that they#d be foolish not to focus on both the console and pc market as a whole. However to keep the game's orignal fans rather than risk a potential "console port" scenario perhaps a unique experience for both formats? Two stories told in two ways? For example, the console could be a more button bashing action game (still with the choices and RPG elements of course whilst the PC presents a more traditional RPG focused setting! This way they'd be no risk of the game feeling like a simple port, potentially the developer and all copyright holders could make twice the profit and Witcher fans would have more to endulge themselves in.

Chiming in late on this since I only recently started really getting into playing the game in the last few weeks. But I would like to be able to play a mage type character in The Witcher universe. A sequel to continue playing as a Witcher would be awesome, but I'm also a magic junky, and would like to experience that side of The Witcher universe more too. Maybe a sequel and a spin-off? That would be great. 8)

Me too, I can't see a woman becoming a Witcher... for some reason, I believe the whole mutation process fits only men :-\ Not that Vesemir is sexist or anything...

In a very old interview of the devs, they said that they would first exploit Geralt as they intend to (a trilogy I think), and perharps after they will offer us other games with different gameplays set in the same universe...

Yeah, I second that, even if I want more of Lambert for myself (I haven't finished the game yet... please tell me he is not dead!), the guy really appeals to me, I don't know why : cold, collected, expert swordman, etc.

Wasn't Leo a little bit young to have children???

What you're saying, arry2007uk is one of my "dreams"... but I don' see it happeing. Why? Because to create two games, with the same plot for different supports would be a way too big investent both in term of money and time!
Is TW the only game cdproject released so far?

They were the editors/translators of the Bioware's games in Poland I think... now I understand why, among all the official websites about Planescape or BG, the fansites were always sayng "go to the polish one" :D

The worst thing that could happen would be a move to the Lowest common denominator, the mainstream console public.

No matter what happens, we see the PC as our lead platform, and we're not going to make a console game for PC audiences. Whether The Witcher appears on consoles in the future is up in the air, but if we do go that route, we'll make sure both PC and console versions play as well as they can on those respective platforms.
