When a card gets gold status removed from it, what does it turn into?

There are cards like djikstra and that other northern realms bronze card that can remove gold from cards. Does that card then become a bronze or silver or what happens to it? This matters because of medics which can pull out bronze specifically or bronze and silver. just curious if anyone had any real proof on how it works.

I think a developer confirmed it would be Silver.
That's guaranteed for things that were initially gold.

However it might be slightly different for things like Poor Infantry that got a Promotion and then get Demoted, since they were initially Bronze before.

Units promoted will revert to their original quality.

Gold units that are demoted will indeed become silver :)
