Before or after Witcher 2?

I keep recalling it's supposed to be in the 6 months between The Witcher 2 and 3 but maybe the timeline isn't supposed to be relevant for these, maybe what they're going for is - it's just one of the adventures of Geralt from some point in time.

I also share @sidspyker point of view about it taking place some time before the games and the last book. So before he even lost his memory.

The story is set before the books so he does not know Triss or Yen.
