When will Songs of the Past take place - during the Wild Hunt crisis or afterwards (like BaW)?

Wondering basically if we'd need to start a new game to get the most out of it or afterwards.

Also, hoping we'll get to see some people we haven't met in 3 but played a role that was cut either in TW3 itself or the sidestories (like The Witcher Tales). E.g., Iorveth and the like (Saskia, Yarpen, etc).

My guess is it will take place after the events of TW3 (and Blood and Wine) since the official tagline is ' Get ready to return to the Path with Geralt of Rivia'.

So based on this, it would be Geralt coming out of retirement for one last adventure.

And yes, we all want Iorveth, Saskia and Yarpen.

The entire nonhuman storyline was pretty much absent in TW3 and I doubt we will see many elves in Kovir.

So, as Triss would say - it's now or never.

I think the Songs of the Past expansion will take place after Blood and Wine as well. It would make sense if that’s the case. Maybe it will show us where we left off through flashbacks and reveal what happened up until Songs of the Past at the beginning of the game. Then we’ll probably start our adventure in another city somewhere on the Continent.
Ooooh, and since I chose Triss in all three games, I definitely think Triss should be in this expansion too. It would be a huge shame if she wasn’t included!
