Where are all the UI string files?

Hi guys. I already made a post about this quite immediately after Witcher 3 was released, and now after the ModKit has been released. I'd like to edit all the default items' names, menu items and speech subtitles conform to British English. After uncooking, I got hundreds of .xml files where I believe all the strings are. How exactly do I know or where do I find the strings that are displayed in-game and where do I make edits?

I could write some code to parse out everything in the .xml files into text files for easier editing, if it comes to that.

All strings are in *.w3strings files (check your content folder). I guess ModKit does not support that format, so for now you can't edit them (only unpack with this lua scripts)

Yes, I have seen those files before. But after uncooking, the uncooked folders contain hundreds of .xml files, especially in the guiand gameplay folders. These contain details about items, armour and general GUI items. So clearly the modkit does do something with *.w3strings, but we don't know exactly what.

Yeah, I've seen a whole thread about those scripts, but for some reason they don't work for me.

I guess xml files contain IDs, not names. And game loads names from w3strings depending of chosen language.

Not sure about .w3strings but aren't .w2strings openable by Excell?

Edit:
Ok i was wrong :p. I will try with Redstrings.exe included to TW2 Redkit.

While you're at it, let me know when you find weapon/armor names and if you find the texts for books.

... have an idea on how to jam in a quest for Raven's armor to replace one of the other Witcher sets.
