Where are Shani and Alvin in the Witcher 2?

Where are Shani and Alvin in the Witcher 2?

In the Witcher 1 I made Geralt fall in love with Shani and made Triss hate me so much! But when I import the save data to the witcher 2, it starts with the witcher sleeping with Triss. What happened to Shani? And what happened to Alvin? They are not even mentioned in the witcher 2! I don't think importing the save data from the witcher 1 changes much. What do you think?

If you are playing the Enhanced Edition of TW2, there should be a journal entry about Shani if you imported a save with her as your romance choice. I think Alvin's plot was wrapped up good enough in TW1, although there is very little mention of him in TW2. Maybe Geralt is trying not to remind himself too much of that nasy business? ;)

So yeah, importing a save only gives you some equipment and a few dialogue options more. The biggest change you will notice is when you go with the Order in TW1.

If you side with the order in Witcher 2 then
If Sigfried lives then you will meet him in later in the game and he will help you a little bit

Geralt never refuses a woman and Triss is madly in love with him. It didn't work out with Shani = Triss and Geralt in bed

About Alvin, the first game hints very, very strongly that
he got thrust into the past and eventually grew up to become Jacques de Aldersberg. The reasons for his actions that Jacques gives to Geralt change depending on what you taught Alvin and are always twisted versions of that, he also wears the same medallion.

LOL! The game doesn't just hint at it. It outright tells you, if you are paying attention.

Don't be shy, share your proof and sources. Because if you ask me, the game never flat out said that Alvin is Jacques. The game did however provide hints and it is rather easy to induce that Alvin is indeed Jacques. But there wasn't enough proof to deduce the fact. Again, it's a popular theory and I'm sure that Alvin really is Jacques but the game never comes out and says it. It's up to the player to decide whether that's true or not.

In the books he refused Triss several times

Anyway, I think TW1 provided enough evidence that Alvin is Jacques. He remembers what Geralt told Alvin, and he has the medallion that Triss gave Alvin. Plus he has hallucinations about the prophecy coming true like Alvin did, and as I understand it that's very rare for humans to see visions of the future (I think they need some Elder blood), so that's enough proof for me that he's Alvin.

Alvin is dead
you killed him at the end of witcher 1
Shani is in Oxenfurt studying or something, she broke up with Geralt because she is medic that want to rescue people and Geralt is witcher guarding king.

Alvin will actually turn up in TW3 and say "Geralt, I am your father!" Pretty original, huh?

But no, joking aside, what the guys posted above is correct.

CD project also spent effort in making Alvin and de Alersberg look just like one can expect a single individual does at different ages.
