where is the manual for this stupid game?

+
The game doesn't tell you even the most basic gameplay instructions, like how to swap between weapons or how to upgrade your weapons or mods. Anybody know where the manual is this game?

It would literally require a novel longer then The Stand to explain everything in the game. Like everyone else, pick up a controller (or keyboard) and just start playing...you'll figure it out.

I had to google how to honk the car horn, as it's not listed in the key bindings.

Some stuff is intuitive, but not everything.

Manual found then? jokes. just play and figure it out as you go. or as you did, youtube

Ah.. Game with beautiful package and a thick manual, it's a thing of the past..

Yep, sad, even the player guides these days are terrible. But at least the companies selling the guides know it. I use to pay up to $50 for a good player guide now they are about $25 these days. At least that is what I paid for this one. But I regret it as it is really just an art book not a player guide. A really beautiful art book but I wanted a player guide.

Sadly the internet is now the go to for actual player information.

Well, if you don't see the tutorial or you have canceled it by accident check your setting->Gameplay->Turtorial
There is also a lot of information on the internet. I don't know about the console version, but in the PC version, you can just check the game database. Even the vehicle instructions with horn and light activation are there. You receive also the combat tutorial from Jackie.

Sometimes content is cut or changed after first presentation of the game during development and its hard for the company to remain track what finds its way actually into the game and what did not so nobody in the company knows exactly how it will work until patch 12.9 or so.

The manual may just be delayed. ;)

Considering how every game gets massive patches these days, printing a guide is utterly idiotic because it can become completely worthless a week after you buy it.

There's an in-game database feature in the game menu (not the pause menu), the menu that shows the crafting, inventory, journal, etc.) on PS4 it's accessed by pressing the touchpad, not sure about Xbox/PC. Select button/equivalent? Anyway, the database is located on the bottom right, and has everything from in-game lore, character bios, weapons and vehicles to gameplay and function instructions.

Indeed.. I still remember when I first got my F16 vs MiG29, a rather casual flight sim , not a particularly good game but it came with a fantastic flight manual style folder, almost 300 pages of interesting aero plane facts to read... even including some very detailed info on aerobatic and combat maneuvers . I lost the discs ages ago but the folder is still on my bookshelf, it was that good...

Those game guides, I'm not sure, I've brought the prima guide for FO4 and Witcher 3, the FO4 guide was nice but rather quickly out dated, the Witcher guide was a good read and much higher quality , I particularly liked the small 'magic book ' that came with it. And both guides were very large , thick and heavy atlas style hard backs, nice for the bucks but not very easy to use.

Remember when the anti-piracy feature was stuff in the manual? No invasive DRM required.

Eh! I remember this old game, "Ian Livingstone's Deathtrap Dungeon". It was for Ps1. Quite ugly game with clunky controls, and the difficulty curve was all over the place, but i liked it nonetheless for its grim and witty atmosphere. Anyway, there was this little manual that included a full bestiary, listing all the enemies found in the game, with nice artwork and funny descriptions, from orcs to rat-men to golems to dragons. Things like that were quite common back in the days. I'm old enough to be nostalgic about stuff younger gamers don't even know was a thing in the past.

no idea, literally posting so I can create new threads

Careful, your post might get deleted and you will have to start over. See if you can message me your post, if it is legit question I will post for you. If it is just praise for the game or complaints about the game you will need to work your way in your self. But don't worry it will not take all that long.
