where is the manual for this stupid game?

Though it isn't free, it's actually pretty great.
 
The problem with guides in this age of gaming is how quickly they become troves of bad information following game patches. You never know if what you are reading is still accurate, especially for RPG's when they are recommending builds and perks, etc.
 
Remember when the anti-piracy feature was stuff in the manual? No invasive DRM required.
lol yeah, I remember there was one game that came with a very clever plastic rotating code disc with 3 rings, it's one of the 'story items' that you can physically own.

During gameplay locked quest doors would require the player to rotate and align the disc to a random combination like dragon - orc - ruby, which will provide a code to progress. --- but you can always borrow your friend's code disc and copy one for yourself..

I think we're talking about an actual manual that has all the controls and features of the game. No gameplay hints.
