Where is the news for 1.2 ?

Still nothing. Not a peep from CDPR.

"When I started CD Projekt 25 years ago, one of the founding principles was 'honest and direct communication with gamers'."

That is the very first sentence Martin utters in the "Our Commitment to Quality" video.. That was over a month ago (January 13).

Dude you're assuming that anyone has a clue what's really going on at CDPR. It's obvious that there is serious internal communication errors going on at CDPR, and leadership is at best wish-washy.

So your PR staff doesn't even know what to put out, because they're not being told squat, and after the whole debacle where PR said "no more delays" and then management goes "nope we're delaying" not 24 hours later, if I was in PR I'd be terrified to put out something, just for CDPR management to squash it, or marketing to put out something, just for something totally underwhelming or different to what they put out to be put out again, I wouldn't put out anything either.

Add in that they're probably under a hush from the lawsuit, and that the people trying to reverse the hack are probably different people then who were working on the patch anyway, and it's probably a cluster over there, with the left hand not even knowing what the left hand is doing, let alone what the right hand is doing.

I don't expect an exact date, but confirmation of whether it's still on for this month would be nice.

There's only 1 week left in the month so at this point they should know whether or not it's actually going to happen.

Hype train!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and go vegan xd

Even if it will be released in the beginning of March, I can live with it. I would rather wait an extra week or two rather than have them rush it just to release it in February.

Just some little information or update won't hurt nobody in my opinion.

It seems very strange to me that if the patch is delayed to March, then in the middle of the month there was no announcement that the patch would be delayed.

Like, if there are problems due to hacking, wouldn't it be the best way to tell the community about them, and not make them wait for something that may not come out?

If they post a delayed patch announcement at the end of February, it will be a fiasco. Because as for me it is better to do it before the end of February, at least in the middle, so that people do not wait for the patch.

It's strange after the official apologies, and the words about that the "community" and dialogue with him are very important for them, but at the same time we receive only silence, and uncertainty. Will there be a patch or not? Yes or no? No anwers, only silence.

(No negative, I just want to be sure that the patch will definitely be released in February)

I agree, but what is probably happening is that they are working on different Bugs & Enhancements most of which are probably being tested as we speak. Since the tests are not completed yet they are probably holding back from announcing what will be included until they have completed the regression tests.
I can understand that CDPR is not telling us what will be in the Update since whatever they say, someone will complain if it is not exactly what they want. Forums have a way of amplifying the complaints and toning down the positive.

That's for legal reasons. The lawyers won't let them talk with the legal shit storm they are dealing with. Anything they say publicly will get picked apart by opposing counsel.

It's possible CDPR decided to release "something" even if it's not the full patch they intended. I'm sure they know how important it is to keep their promises now, so they might have decided to just release whatever they have in February and do another patch in March. Maybe it will still be called 1.2, maybe 1.1.5...who knows.

I just hope they fix the AI at least, but that will probably not happen. I don't know what The Boys (The Rat Pack of Warsaw) are up to to be frank. It doesn't look likely that it will come in February :( I play Death Stranding now anyway so I don't care... BUT I DO CARE, I want a city that is more alive and some good driving so this update better fix this. I will never touch a mod, I'm old - look at my face - they better not hope that the modding community will save their game so this update need to fix more then just bugs because I don't think that the AI is a bug. I will never install a mod, they can't make me. I wouldn't even know where to start - this tin bucket with wires will blow in my face!

Which, I guess, is basically how we ended up with the underwhelming 'big' 1.1 patch that we got. Pretty sure they cut some stuff from it that didn't make it in time, so people would shut up for a bit while they got cracking on 1.2

Personally, I'd just let people fume and spend a little more time on it, making sure the patch is a) as big as promised, and, b) mostly bug-free. With 1.1, while the game did improve, they delivered neither.

They gave announcement, not many paid attention to it, i just posted it on the last page. The title of the article says it all. "The Hack Will Affect Short Term Work". It gives them an out to not release the patch.

How do you gauge the size of a Patch?

Guess this is it in terms of "commitment" and "keeping up the promice". I bet my ass they will fart out something "hotfixish" and slap "1.2" sticker on it this week. And Im truly scared that that will be all in terms of "long term support" as the game is too broken at its fundations. They will surely make some free cosmetic DLCs, pretending to "be faithfull to their customers", expecting us to jump around in joy like some monkies. I dont even expect anything in terms of story expantsion. [...]

In my view only 2 possibilities at this point, either the patch will just drop within the next 5 days or the "news" so many are asking for they will get, which will be a announcement of a delay with reasons mostly pointing to the hack.

So I'd suggest no 'news' at this point is good news as the patch is still on the table, at least for now.

All I know is that having played through the game with each lifepath once, I now haven't touched the game since 5th Feb because I'm waiting for it to be fixed. If it isn't, I'll delete it from my XB1 and never touch it, or another CDPR game, again. I won't risk wasting another £50, or whatever it cost. I've already had a few friends ask if they should get it and I've said no, and then showed them what it's like on my XB1. I was all set to check out the Witcher series if I liked CP'77, but not now.

Yep, yesterday there was activity in steamDB, and quite a lot, which means the patch will definitely be released.

Considering SteamDB's activity, my guess is tomorrow or Thursday.

Considering this is probably meant as "the big one", it would be far better if they did so tomorrow. Give themselves a little leeway to fix anything the patch might break before the weekend.

Then again, releasing a patch that breaks stuff on a Friday is something they did before CP2077 and they still did it with 1.1.

Like Elon Musk said: "With Cyberpunk, even the hotfixes literally have hotfixes, but … great game "
