Where to save NPC file

Manual says npc files must be saved to /Template/NPCSpawn/ directory. There is no NPCSpawn directory so i created it there. And then in my module I wanted to load this npc file and modue dont see it. Any ideas where to save NPC file and how to load it in my module?

They can be saved wherever you like. You can put them under spawnsets (if it's a story NPC you are talking about), or under characters (if it's a completely new creature template). Or you can just create a new folder completely.Djinni does not recognize any type folders whatsoever in the Data folder. Thus, the files can be anywhere in Data and they will be found. However, the side effect is there cannot be two files of the same exact name and filetype anywhere in your Data folder, even in separate folders.

I saved npc file to "ShaniX.npc" in Data/Templates/NPCSpawn/ and in "Module properties" I'm trying to load it to "Story NPC List" but there on list are default npc files and there is no ShaniX :/

.npc format is not a new NPC in terms of a model, it's just a basic schedule calling a creature template, along with basic actions and scripts. If you are looking to make a new Story NPC, you need to create a new Shani first. Go to file > new > template > creature. Name it Shani, and then under model section, drop down the list and find Shani's model. You can find out which model is which by selecting them, going to the Edit/View menu (forget which one offhand), and the option at bottom should say View Model something or other. Then save the creature template once you're done, and load that template (.UTC) in Story NPC.
