Where's the game we saw in the trailers?

I'd like to know how much of the game was censored with the recent update. We have a thread that was closed recently.

I have played for a total of 8 hours and haven't seen a single dildo, which I guess you couldn't go 2 seconds with out tripping over before if reviewers are to be believed. Plus the guy in the bathtub with our target in the opening mission now seems to be completely censored. Just how much do they plan on changing this game over the next couple months.

Was there supposed to be lots of random braindance? Because there are some - at least 2 so far in quests. Not 20 sure, but they a;re there.

Problem is, the game itself tells you that you should be able to use braindances. First time you enters Lizzie's Bar the girls at the entrance recite the rules they say
"Someone catch your eye, you do not grab 'em. You find 'em in the catalog, ask for a BD and get yourself a box."
You enter the bar and what do you see? All of the people using BDs. I've spent good 10-15 minutes checking every corner of the club to see where is this catalogue, where can I ask for a BD. It just isn't there. The game creates the illusion that is shattered in mere seconds. This is the core problem with design of CP2077. The world tells you about all of this awesome, bizzare things that you should be able to experience in Night City, but in reality you can't do any of this. The city is just a stage for main plot and some side quests, but when you are out of those, there is nothing.

Honestly the more I read through various posts on the forum, the more you find that has been potentially removed and doesn't make sense. The BD mentions with no way of actually using them and the genital customisation just to be censored from there on out are prime examples of 'what the...' moments in CP2077.

Be honest, how many times did you change 'penis size' during creation just to see that floppy dindong animation?

But these are less bugs and more clues as to what stuff has been hastily removed prior to release. And as you say, its the nuances of the story being sub-par and certain story/gameplay elements and decisions obviously either being wrong or again, hastily changed or removed. That's what is holding the game back

Speak of trailers, the gameplay video from 2018 is amassing some interesting comments which echo the general community feeling of 'where is our game'.

um the NPC AI is working just fine. would you guys prefer static NPC like in anthem?? these npc are more alive that npc in other games. remember in real life these NPC wouldnt give 2 craps about you so dont act like it matters. and for thouse complain combat AI im sure the data their collecting will hep tweak the AI like they have in escape from tarkov i hope.

Again, comparing this game to Anthem proves their point more than it proves yours.

Your guess is as good as mine. Someone on here lied to me and said the genitalia was functional.
Except it clearly isn't. Out of the two joytoys in the entirety of night city, the bullshit about having genitals serves no purpose in this game. It's there for sex cretins and that's it. It's a lot like the rest of the game in that way. There's an entire city that's just a hollow façade.

Anyone who believed CP2077 was going to be everything the over-hyped media made it out to be needs a reality check, seriously some people must have two sparking diodes rubbing together in their skull sponge!

CP2077 is beautiful, the amount of effort and love invested in its creation is biblical, the detail is mind-blowing, the history is riveting, the characters and voice acting is top-notch, the vehicles are astounding, and the weapons make me wetter than an El Nino monsoon.

Like most I also have a list of grievances & desires longer than my bucket list but that doesn't demean the joy I get playing CP2077, it actually makes me happy because it means some good updates and expansions.

The irony is CP2077 shows a society constantly searching for perfection in body and entertainment yet never finding what they each seek, the end result is often anger, frustration, and depression - where as people unhappy with CP2077 can just stfu and get a refund.

Irony was someone saying that Cyberpunk would have adult content, do it partially, selecting where the adult content would be exposed in the game 'in the inventory, ok, out of it, sin' ...

I don't disagree, but the other side is this: Let people have free nudity outside inventory and next thing we'll see is screenshots of characters humping the necks of corpses and so forth ..... not a great image to go viral on TikTok.
CDPR had to draw the line somewhere, this was it. Let modders make the changes later, that way it can't be said that letting players run naked and take selfies humping children in the park reflects CDPR's values.

How is that CDPR's fault that some asshat decides to do that? also children disappear in photo mode so it seems like CDPR was ahead of the game on this...

The thing that really surprises me is that CDPR has not refuted the plethora of news articles that are still perpetuating the gratuitous nudity in the game (how is this not setting them up for a false advertisement claim since at some point they should publicly refute this I would think?). 50 hours of play and I can say with confidence there is WAY less nudity in this than the Witcher 3 yet the news articles definitely seem to suggest otherwise.
