GTA set the fucking gold standard for open world games.GTA is a trash. Sorry. Watch dogs 2 is better in all ways.
And cyberpunk will evolve and compete with gta (even though it is not a case to compete with gta at all).

And? I don like it. Well at least the last game. Who cares about "standard"? And who decide? Critics? Players on metacritic?GTA set the fucking gold standard for open world games.
No fucking joke. Reading through here and someone just causally drops the end of the game. Oh well. I was prepared for that eventuality but I don't really care to be honest. Fucking inconsiderate for the people that do, though. Please make sure to mark spoilers appropriately. Especially massive story spoilers.
Edited a couple posts.
Yes, critics. And players on any and all platform. Check Steam reviews, Metacritic, etc. And? I don like it. Well at least the last game. Who cares about "standard"? And who decide? Critics? Players on metacritic?
Yeah, I'm so dissapointed in people who post spoilers. =\No fucking joke. Reading through here and someone just causally drops the end of the game. Oh well. I was prepared for that eventuality but I don't really care to be honest. Fucking inconsiderate for the people that do, though.
Well I should not have said like that. I'm always so triggered when ppl compare some game with GTA, because I fail to see how "brilliant" it isYes, critics. And players on any and all platform. Check Steam reviews, Metacritic, etc.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not good. You should be able to respect a game for what it has achieved even if you don't personally enjoy it. The inverse is also true. For example, those who like Cyberpunk should be able to admit that it falls quite short in just about every department, even as a functioning, stable product (let alone actual gameplay features and etc).
I wouldn't wait for Fallout, but Microsoft might resurrect the corpse who knows.Glad someone else has made a post about this that points out the flaws beyond the technical/bugs.
Very disappointing overall. looks like we're waiting for Fallout 5, Elder scrolls 6 and Mass Effect 4 for a true RPG
I so enjoyed playing RDR2. But I would say mostly because of the story and the setting.Whether or not you like it, GTA is the standard by which pretty much every other game is measured that claims to be "open world". Red Dead Redemption 2 (made by the same studio that makes GTA as I'm sure you're aware) has some of the most advanced NPC behavior ever seen in a game.
its bad apart from the story, and the game is just not what they advertised.here, the game is not bad bro
Glad im also not the only one that noticed this apparent "Translation mod" never made an appearance either. Was literally googling about it early and found nothing,In the making of Heavenly Sword game dev said that " if you are making game to run on 'today' hardware you are doomed to failure you must always aim to hardware that will be in the 5-10 year in the future" that was in 2007.
When I heard that CP2077 coming in 2020 I started to do GPU lists to buy , then CPR announce that the game will run on 7 year old systems like PS4! game released in 2020 will run on 2013 hardware ! . In that moment I knew we will have Watchdog or even Alien Colonial Marines situation but i never expect We will get Polish NoManSky mess ;(.
Where are translators mods to be able to understand and do a quests in native districts, where are NPC reacting to player POV , where are all those teaser/trailer features.
Im 30+h in to the game, when I saw that 100% of assets have auto generated collision I know im here for rough ride , but the state of the game on PS4 is a trash there is no coming back from this, and calling re-installation of whole game a Patch is bluntly lie.
Im a CGI worker my self but I always raise my voice when CEO or even some "CGI guru" want to do something stupid and I can't believe that all 500 ppl where ok with the STUPIDEST idea ever to make this game run on PS4. Man you are all Guilty of this mess whole team working on this game.
Seems they just wanted more money ;( I can't see any other reason. Old consoles must be buried. It is 2020 already. We could get zero day next-gen patch but now they have a lot of complains from PS4 and xbox one users. =\In the making of Heavenly Sword game dev said that " if you are making game to run on 'today' hardware you are doomed to failure you must always aim to hardware that will be in the 5-10 year in the future" that was in 2007.

My key point in my post was or basically is, that you have to code all of this and depending on the engine, it takes time or is more or less of a pain. Surely, with more development time and less pressure they would've added this to CP2077. I assume it was simply not on the highest priority list, like vehicle combat outside of main or side quests, aka not on rails.Bro. GTA IV released literally 12 years ago has far superior NPC AI as compared to Cyberpunk 2077.
I was teach "Never do anything that can bring shame , and f%$@# the money. If money is all you want you can become a whore"Seems they just wanted more money ;( I can't see any other reason. Could not agree more.My key point in my post was or basically is, that you have to code all of this and depending on the engine, it takes time or is more or less of a pain. Of such things we usually take for granted in many open world games that have vehicles become way easier due to new technology or AI assist, then we get to have less juggling with priorities - that means these things will become granted or standard and maybe just need fine-tuning or animation tweaking.
Other than that, it depends on what you mean with "far superior NPC AI". The AI is generally more smooth or seems more organic - but your random NPC on the street is still just a filler who walks around or stands around in view and vanishes as soon as you pass. Sometimes you cannot invent the wheel anew![]()
Who knows. They do not have powerfull publisher like EA. May be it was the only choice to survive.I was teach "Never do anything that can bring shame , and f%$@# the money. If money is all you want you can become a whore"
sadly CDPR "more money" idea end up with loosing more and lot of shame and stink for future.
To me it sounds like you're making excuses for their utter failure to deliver on their supposed vision for this game. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this game is bad game by virtually any standard. Forget GTA. The mechanics and features feel like something from PS3 era. If that's how they originally sold and advertised the game fair enough, but it was not. The problem is that CDPR created false expectations for what this game was supposed to be, and it was not anywhere close to that. It has a façade of complexity underneath an extremely thin veneer of visual polish. My key point in my post was or basically is, that you have to code all of this and depending on the engine, it takes time or is more or less of a pain. Its not a PR decision even in small projects every CEO, every HIgh Place decision come back at the bottom of the ladder to the ppl that make the "stuff" becouse promising something that can't be done is bad PR. Really i can't find the words to discribe why, how, and who make this desicion becouse its like 5 grade kid thinking "I wrap this brick into Camera box and sell in on internet" without thinking long term that some day someone can drive bay for batters(...)

This is incorrect. RDR2 has that. There is a timeskip video in the internet about a dude who takes a video of an NPC at Emerald ranch. The NPC comes out at dawn, loads his cart with vegetables, drives the cart to the market at Rhodes, unloads, spends the day selling his vegetables, then drives the cart back home in the evening, and goes back to sleep. The whole process takes about 30-48 minutes since that is the length of day/night cycle in RDR2.As for each NPC having a life of its own... no game has that... not even GTAV.
