Lobindon feels hollow now, a ghost town. I wander aimlessly among the voices, but none register. And in my dreary brain echoes that which I once heard, and yearn to hear again...

"can girls become witchas toooooo?"

Lots of chamges in v2 but am I right in thinking that the Welsh girl in Lobinden who said "Can girls be a Withcher too?" has been deleted? She is no longer there in my game. Sad if true! PC gone mad? Maybe it's just me? If she has I'm reverting to 1.35!!

I heard a girl say so in Floatsam. I'm playing with patch 2.0.

im my game she lives.
her sister "why does he needs 2 swords ?" recently told me about her
"a dwarf witcher, that would be something" uncle in Vergen so I am going to visit him next.
But you all are wrong to make a thread about the welsh girl.
WHERE IS THE RESOLUTE GIRL ??
She was my most beloved side char in TW1. I hope they bring her back for TW3 :)

No, I doubt it.

I'm allowed to shag in a Brothel. I'm allowed to slice up as many living things as I can get my blade on to. Torture is OK. Prostitution is OK.

But if a young girl asks "can girl's be witcher's too?" it's beyond the pale and has to be removed to avoid offence to anyone who might be offended. Just like the Islamic textures.

Sorry CDPR, but by removing it I have lost all repect for you.

Patch her back in please together with the Islamic textures.

No thats not what I meant let me be bit more clearer. Although even I loved her (and that other kid) and am upset (if what you guys say is true, haven't seen myself and the post above says otherwise sort of)
The thing is the fact she is asking, 'can girls be a witcher too?' can be sort of discrimination. Again Im just saying this could be if depending on whether there are female witchers in the books, and my thinking if the devs thought this way. Or maybe Im just over thinking and the devs just removed it accidently or coz everytime you go to the village you have to hear it.

Of course there were female witchers...

She shows up twice. Watch

This was the TV series written from one of the books. It's in Polish (I think) sub'd in english.

thanks for the info.
I heard and read reviews of the tv series and film which were terrible so my heart would ache if I see it

Wasn't to bad (imo), but it gave some history behind the Geralt which I found interesting. But I watched before I bought the Witcher 1 & 2. I haven't read the books tho'. And I've managed to NOT compare the series and the game. I try to look at each media as it's own story so to speak.

I ve been looking for her too, and wasnt able to find her. It may be a bug... I dont see any logic in removing her while leaving 3 different little girls that say "Why the two swords? Does he lose them often?", when you could have just one...

And there were no witcher girls (sadly). Quoting the sorry and pathetic TV series is just wrong... lol

The only girl who got the closest to be a Witcher was Ciri. But even if the witchers at Kaer Morhen had wanted to make one out of her, they wouldnt had been able to... the secret to complete the ritual was lost (even Vesemir says so in the first game).

She's still there. My mistake.

Matbe her mother told her to STFU because she's a lot quieter in v2!!

I must say I'm relieved! I think she is going to make a great Witcher! Better humoured and a lot more fun than the grumpy old master of misery Geralt at any rate!!!! For God's sake he should try a smile. I'm sure his face wouldn't crack open if he did!

I've only read the English books and I got the impression that there was only one witcher girl in training the books: Ciri, but as other posters have pointed out, she never underwent the mutations, so she's not really a witcher.
When she is undergoing her witcher training, Triss comments to Geralt and Vesimir how they obviously don't know much about girls or something like that, so I guess she was the first female witcher (at least in Geralt/Vesimirs lifetime in the kaer morhen group of withcers).

The TV series did have female witchers, but it also diverged somewhat from the books in places, so I don't really think you can count the TV series (and movie) as canon. (For example, in the series, Vesimir is an old priest type character, but in the books hes more or less like hes portrayed in the games)

As for if the TV series is any good: I enjoyed it, but be warned that the acting and special effects are both pretty bad.
