Whether you do not know there will be in witcher 2 at the player a horse? It would be interesting to battle sitting on a horse! Your opinions in this occasion.

According to the Unofficial FAQ, there won't be any horses.Geralt is a swordsman, first and foremost, and he's a genetically mutated swordsman who's much faster than ordinary humans. Sitting on a horse would make him give up many of the advantages that come with his mutation. You can play Mount and Blade to get horses out of your system, then come play The Witcher. :)

I'd say it's a very situational matter. Most of the times, mounted combat would be a bad idea, as the witcher fighting style strongly emphasises dodging blows as opposed to parrying, since.. you can't really parry a werewolf's lunge. :pI'd say the best application would be chasing after enemies that simply can't be outsprinted, like mounted bandits/scoia'tael/raiders. And of course, outriding said enemies when the situation requires it. :pIf the FAQ says "no" to horses, though... Possibly in TW3. Or not..

While interesting, I don't think it'd be a good idea for Geralt. His fighting style relies mostly on agility, and being on a horse really removes a lot of that. Combat from a horse means heavy armor and have hacking downward strokes. If you're fighting from a horse without plate, chain or layered baked leather armor and doing anything other than continuous charging strikes, you'd pretty much be hacked to pieces. It'd really detract from combat, I think. Increased Mobility, less agility. An interesting proposition, certainly, but not quite Geralt's thing. That said, having Geralt fighting a mounted opponent would be very interesting (For Geralt, I would imagine that his technique would be to rather boredly slash the feet from the mount and bring the mounting opponent down to his level. xD

If horses are integrated i'd guess it would be for transport and inventory, rather than fighting.

I doubt that they will put the horses in the W2, but it would be niceBut if they do it at some point I am quite sure that is will be like in the Oblivion - just a transportation system and possibly the option to carry some of your things - nothing more
