Man, did you even read what we posted or tried to understand? There is a VERY BIG difference between claims about TW3 NOT REQUIRING any mods, and mods for TW3 being somehow BAD or inappropriate. We were talking only about the first, and not the second. And, you know, no game should ever require modding to be interesting, or playable, or whatever. It seems that the majority wants TW3 be such a game, right out of the box, to be great, to have good UI, great combat system, interesting story, and so on.

With mods sure, go ahead, make whatever you want, and if it is interesting people will install and play them. But to claim that people already should be interested in mods for TW3 I find weird. Right now we are interested in the game itself, that is it. I don't even get what arrogance and hostility concerning mods is, it is not like anyone is protesting against existence of modding or against CDPR giving gamers a modkit. People are not that excited about them? Dude, wake up, we did not even see a proper gameplay, what a fuck should we be existed about? What modding???
And once again what does any of that have to do with mods. No one has argued "Boy I hope that W3 sucks balls so that modders can fix it all." I simply asked what mods would people like to see as in do you want new quest mods or do you want new armors and weapons or do you want silly mods or serious mods that add tougher monsters etc.

What I get are some posts from people literally "Witcher shouldn't need mods" "Witcher isn't out yet so why are we even talking about it now" If you can't see the closed minded nature of that thought process then I can't help you.

I post this in a Bethesda, GSC, or any other website and I get responses about actual mods......not debates on why modders shouldn't have to fix the game or why the Witcher would need mods to begin with.

I bet you are fun at the bar when people ask you who you are going to pick for Fantasy Football. "Well I can't pick now, not till I have seen them all play a few games." How about just loosening up and making a list of stuff you would like to see added to the game that you are pretty sure isn't going to be in the game. If it does end up being in the game that is all ice cream on the apple pie. If you don't think that they will have transport services ie carriages, boats etc for fast travel and you would like to see it then why not wish for it?

I want a white hair mod. I even try to do it myself if I can. But after the latest media material, Geralt no longer seems to be the white wolf, but the blond or whatever wolf.

People are allowed to have different opinions than yours. Some people do not like to use mods, because they think it takes away from the game's authenticity and so on. Some people like mods because they think it improves the game and so on. At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinions.
I personally do not apply mods before I finish the game, because I think it takes away from authenticity and what the creators of the game wanted to get across. The only exception was Skyrim's High Resolution Textures mod, just because the game looked atrocious on the PC even on highest settings without the mod. I personally have never used any mods for Witcher games.

Good idea :)

I also want a "bigger Novigrad" mod and "gnomes, halflings and female dwarves" mod

I played vanilla play through the first time as well....usually. I agree about SKyrims horrible textures. There were some critical balancing mods that came out for Skyrim very early on, as in literally within days that dealt with magic scaling and the weapon smithing/alchemy loophole that let you craft 900 damage weapons. So I did use those but I managed about 100 hours before I started adding any serious mods that I didn't consider essential "fixes". Same with STALKER series I played that game a few times before I started adding mods. Once I started though I never went back. Vanilla is fairly easy and boring.

I am definitely hoping for high res textures with parallax if they don't come with the game by default. I will have the Nvidia Titan 780 whatever the hell it is by then. I am also a fan of ENB mods. Its fun trying out different styles and I will admit that I was a late adopter but they can completely change the look of a game and make it feel fresh if you have played through it already.

I will play Witcher 2 again with that first person combat mod although I have a list of games I have bought on STEAM sales that I have yet to get around. :/

A quick rough sketch of a mod/conversion I would love to play one day.

Total conversion proposition:

Third person RPG based on TW engine and interface.

Game purpose:
- To teach as well as entertain.
- To show a process of coming of age and socialisation to the culture and commons of Commonwealth of Poland-Lithunania nobility and its unique political system.
- To exemplify the varaitions of languages and dialects used in CPL.

Geographical setting:
-Various locations of the CPL.

Playable characters:
- Lithunanian/Polish/Ruthenian/Prussian nobleman or noblewoman.

Time setting:
-Between 1580-1651 in one of many big events of that time. Plot could possibly be streached across 20 or more years as to demostrate the process of abandoning renaissance ideas for baroque ones in societies.

Come to think of it, having a big house to store trophies in and come back to would be great. I know it does not exactly fit lore wise, but heck why not.

And alternative and lore-friendlier way would be for him to be able to hand them over the local innkeeper who then hangs them on the wall or puts them in display cases. Then you get to see them every time you go in for a drink.

We don't know, but I suspect that it's highly unlikely that a nomadic Witcher in a warzone will be buying a house.

This is a case where having a definite character works against the mod. It is central to Geralt's story that just this is denied him; he can never lead a "normal" life. (In TW1, he is acutely aware of this.)

I suppose so, but a mod with a beautiful house/base with plenty of storage room and other goodies would be a must download for me. A place to call me and to chill at while enjoying the weather and sipping some ale.

In no particular order:

1-First person view
2-lightsabers
3-survival mod (you have to eat, drink and sleep to survive) environmental survival like Frostfall for Skyrim where you could freeze to death would be a bonus as well
4-jetpacks
5-T51b Power Armor and plasma rifle
6-drivable tank
8-treasure hunt for collectible items
9-midget psychos
10-flyable steampunk galleon with cannons that can be aimed and fired
11-completely destructible environments (burn down forests, blow up buildings etc.)
12-build your own army to send out and destroy everything since the mod that allows you to destroy everything came out. :D/>/>/>
