Since I haven't read the books, my list of valid choices is limited as all hell
I'm fairly certain that Yennefer will make an appearance, so that's great. I've always wanted to meet her. After all the wiki pages and articles I've read about her, I've been quite anxious to finally lay my eyes on the raven haired, ex-hunchback, sorceress beauty. So Yen would definitely be on my list.

I wouldn't mind seeing Iorveth, Saskia and Letho once more. Obviously Ves, Silé and Philippa would be awesome to meet again. Of course, it'd be pretty boss to exchange swears with Thaler, that magnificent bastard!
But that's just my wishful thinking and really, I don't *want* RED to put characters in just for fan service. It'd be nice to see them but only if they're there for a reason. If it makes sense within the context of the story, then yeah awesomesauce. But I don't want them to throw characters in just to appease us. It's a bit blah. That's BioWare's style. I'd like RED to remain RED.

I want to meet "Grandpa" from the swamp in tw1. I hope he has turned into a vampire or some sort of "flesh" eating zombie.

Haha, Geralt has much better composure than I do. I couldn't stop laughing, especially during the awkward weather small talk.
It'd be cool to see Yaevinn again, though I have very few save files where he hasn't tried to kill my Geralt. I don't even have to see him, just hear about him, though Iorveth spoke of him in the past tense no matter what I did it seemed. Don't think there's a chance of running into any halfings is there? Like the farmer when Geralt was searching for the hunt in.....Times of Contempt I believe. I guess RED doesn't want too many races, which is very understandable, and I don't think they live that far North anyway.

Haven't read Times of contempt, hopefully no more freaking delays. I'd personally think they'd do gnomes before halflings. Your theory on race multitude sounds ideal, people would probably claim ripoff if there were all the races of the books in the games.
