You're right my friend. Considering how incredibly fascinating and rich the characters from the Witcher universe are, I wouldn't mind seeing them all in TW3!vivaxardas said:Honestly, everyone who survived on any path through TW1 and TW2, plus as many characters from the books as possible. I want TW3 to be real rich on lore and characters. There is no one I wouldn't want to meet again.
Is there any character people would not want to see again, I wonder, and why?
However! I really don't want RED to degenerate into a fan service based developer who blindly follows their customer and let's them dictate what makes it into the game. Kinda like what the empty and pitiful shell of a video game developer BioWare has turned into. They're just a husk of their former self now.
So even if it'd be pretty neat seeing all those characters, I want it to make sense within the context of the story. I don't want certain characters to pop the fuck out of nowhere and be like "yo Geralt, just thought I'd say hi". I want to stay away from lazy, contrived writing. If there's legitimate reason for Saskia to be in TW3, then ok. Fine. That's cool. But too have her there just to have her there. No thanks.
And honestly, even if all the characters are pretty beast, I still believe in REDs ability and creativity to supply us with new and equally awesome individuals who can earn their own place in our hearts. I trust them. So on one hand, I'd like to stay clear of any reuse of old characters because I'm curious what the writers can conjure up next! Hell I love Iorveth more than Yaevinn, so there's no reason to believe that RED can't create new characters for us to enjoy.
