Cannot really comment on this, I simply don't know.

I have no basic stance yet because it heavily relies on what we will get to see in the DLCs and, maybe, how the game changed until then.

They've already said that DLCs are included in purchase price like Witcher 3 was and that there will be a comparable amount, so the question is moot.

I have full confidence that everything will get fixed. I'm still having fun just running around and exploring. I spent 4 hours just walking up on the train tracks and looking down at everything tonight, and I don't feel bad about it at all.

I will buy whatever they shove my way.
In they end they are still a better company then any of their competition out there.
Both Witcher 1,2 & 3 had major issues at launch, and we still rode their...... all the way to release of Cyberpunk see no reason to change that now.

I'm still having a better experience with Cyber then I had with Valhalla and the pc release of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Even if I didn't like the ending(s) or the story I'd never ask for it to be changed. This is an atrocious request and should never happen. But I'm asking actually to have other things that are missing from the game...like the game itself.
We'll see how it goes but I strongly doubt we'll see DLCs or Multi during 2021, unless they sort this mess out. And even if it's a DLC we'll see what is it about, because If they intend to add 2/3 more gigs and leave it like that and do nothing with this barren city, it's gonna be hard pass for me.
There's a book store in front of my house so..

I bought a 250.00 SSD for my PS4 Pro which I bought brand new 6 months ago just to play this game and I was prepared to buy everything that was attached to it but the more I play it story aside, the angrier I get with this game. Ironically enough CP2077's announcement kept me from quitting gaming but it may just be the final cause to quit. Tired of all the lies, misleading narratives and deception. Even though untold numbers of adults play games now, unless you've got a good gaming PC and are able to use mod's, gaming is primarily the most expensive children's hobby in the world and I've just about had my fill of it 10 times over.

The current state of the game ???
What the heck. I play for 30 hours on PC. I had ONE !!! crash.
I love also Bethesda and Elder Scrolls. If hope they will one day launch such a perfect game like CP2077.
Nearly no glitches. The story in quests is fantastic. I love the characters, Grafics, Weapons,... and all the rest.

What are these people complaining about?
Thanks a lot CDPR for (over)fullfilling all my expectations.
The few minor obstacles will be removed from you, I am sure of this..

What ever addtional content you will offer us - I WILL TAKE IT WITH PLEASURE.

Thanks for so muchfun for so little money.
Greatful, Henry

Lol, dlc... I dont plan to buy the game until it gets heavily patched and (hopefully) many of its systems redesigned. Mods will take some of the burden there, but they shouldnt have to... Guess I didnt expect CDPR to be another company to feed into my decision never to buy AAA games on launch.

I'm sure there are some truly awesome people who work at CDPR, I don't doubt that for a second but it's the same old song and dance that it always is. CDPR did some very shady things with this game, probably nothing more than hiding the state of the game on consoles in order to limit lost sales. If you know Cyberpunk, you know the Corporations are not the good guys and even though it's my fault for lying to myself, at the end of the day, the C in CDPR stands for Corporation.

"Never play on release day".

I'm of course not saying it's not valid to get a title in advance or on release day. But given what we got simply wasn't flawless (not in the utopic kind of sense, and while I'm pro genre and usually want to look at things from a diverse or balanced POV, I will not sugarcoat it either) and has clear notable issues - some of which don't befit a title of this grade in my books - I am starting to think its our own fault.

Our own abstract collective fault as players, as consumers. Bit ironic I tie in to the society criticism of the Cyberpunk genre itself now, but we want to play with something, want entertainment, ideally ASAP, constant entertainment. The market seems to become harsh and game development is its own world I guess, with games releasing riddled with issues.

Why wasn't it released later, with a first release not planned for April 16 2020, but April 16 2021 or so? Not sure, am no expert. Investors, market or season pressure? Not so optimal management? Should've decided another course and style for the game? I dunno.

I also cannot relate with prior releases, never played the Witcher games. All I know is many praise The Witcher 3. Perhaps this game was needed as a first "benchmark" to allow them to adjust not just in this IP style wise, but management wise.

-----

Either way, some games tend to come out in unfinished fashion. I'm not trying to boycott any company including CDPR, but in the spirit of Johnny S. it is up to us to influence that decision making collectively and not stand for unfinished products, nor demand an earlier release under near-threat of rioting should another delay take place.

We as consumers are part of the issue. No way around it. A company wants to make money including any investor or whatever-holder. Rightfully so, yes. If releasing something flawed in maybe not the biggest but still key areas doesn't ring well with the money maker, the customer (us), then that "trend" will stop in the long run.

Either way, we'll see how the next game goes. This time, I'll maybe wait before I buy it to see the first feedback.

How? The most simple and yet hardest part: Scale back one's own urges and simply wait and see reviews from players themselves, not just gaming related magazines.

Maybe this whole thing was actually a very clever way to teach us corporations are not to be trusted!
Well played CDPR. Well played.

DLC most likely will make you play as different character not "V", so all your progression gear and levels wont matter, because you will be transported to different point of view for 3-4 hours and then go back to your main story. Maybe you will play as Jackie or Takamura.
Its kinda cheap and boring imho, but i hope i am wrong.

Well the DLC will be free. They will have actual paid expansions like Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Frankly I want the DLC to add more to the city that we already have. Looks beautiful but is almost completely non interactable. Only two prostitutes, no braindances outside of missions, the dollhouse cannot be used, V cannot call booty calls to the apartment like we saw in the gameplay demo. They could have done so much more. If they do not live up to what I am expecting of them with DLCs and expansions, I will be very careful to make sure their next game lives up to my expectations before I give them anymore money.

Just curious to see how the game current state is affecting wish to buy DLCs.

Not really my thing to start telling the devs the story I want them to tell me. So the endings, good or bad (not there yet) don’t really affect anything.

But it would so far seem to me that the gameplay side of things doesn’t really warrant further storytelling, so unless the DLC in question is purely a feature pack that molds the existing gameplay in various ways, tweaking what’s there, adding new stuff (without needing to alter the story, because I don’t think they’d go there), I don’t yet have any desire for more ”stories”.

I want to have fun while playing, the story merely sets the stage and comes along with the gameplay. I don’t wish to force myself through unexciting gameplay just to witness more well done cutscenes.

The Witcher 3 had paid DLCs too.
Yeah, you right. I completely forgot those 2 multi-hour DLCs were originally paid. I bought the GOTY so it was all included at that time. I don't often buy games at launch so I'm usually around after a lot of the bug and controversy shakeout.
