Who Fought the Law permanently breaks my radio

+
I've narrowed down the problem to the part of the quest when you go interrogate River's CI. My radio works fine going into the mission, I walk into the store, chase him into the alley, and then do the dialogue. I get back in my car and all the radio stations are silent.

Yes, I've checked the radio volume in both the radio's UI and in the game settings, it is 100% in both, that's not the issue. No amount of reloading, restarting, verifying game files, etc. fixes this. I've also tried going and playing the radio in an apartment, which seems to have worked for some people. This doesn't fix the issue either. In fact, I learned that the radio in my apartment(s) are also silent, suggesting that this issue has actually broken every radio in the game.

The only fix is reloading a save from before I do the mission, meaning in effect, I just can't do this mission without permanently breaking all the radios in my save file.

Yes, I play on PC, but my game is entirely vanilla.
Ok, just to be sure, you never used mods (even once) on this save?
(because for some reason, some people think that removing mods means the issue they encounter can't be due to the mods... and consider their game as "vanilla")

If you never used mods, you really should directly contact the support ("contact us" button) and provide as much details as possible (also include a save in your report).
Not sure if there is a "workaround", but a fix from CDPR would be even better :)

Yeah, this is a new save, so no mods have ever been loaded. I'll probably have to just submit an actual support ticket. Thanks anyway, tho

Ok, I actually found a fix. I had to restart the entire quest, as in load a save from before my first meeting with River at the diner, and went straight to the CI instead of going to the market first (which is what I did last time). No idea what cause the issue beyond that, or what exactly solved it, but that worked for me.

It use to be that mods could do things like turn off all sounds by categories one by one for some dramatic effect in the mod then the mod would turn the sounds back on. But if the Mod DEV forgot one like the radio now forever the radio is off. This would be for all sorts of things not just sound, could be for lights, or npc aggression or what ever.

So you would get broken game aspects from a mod that seem to have noting to do with the mod such as a "better explosion mod" that turned down all other sounds to make the explosion seem louder and then make a ringing sound in your ear.

But theses days I feel it is not so simple. Seems to me the code is so complicated now that "taking a variable away from one system temporarily for another then sets a flag from lack of power to its capacitor resulting in a bad math out put (and so on and so on)" is what is happening now even in the actual game not just the mods.
