Who is Mr Blue Eyes? (spoilers)

+
Seems we only really officially meet him in the Night City legend ending but if you keep an eye out you may see him in other locations keeping an eye on you in other quest lines, personally I have only seen him at the end of the quest with the Jeffersons and the people trying to brainwash and reprogram their minds but I have heard others say they have spotted him elsewhere. Anyone have any theories as to who he might be?

Now it could be a coincidence that he makes his appearance at the end of the quest with the Jeffersons but it is more likely a conscious choice to put him there indicating that he may have some involvement in the re-writing of the brains of the Jeffersons, it is also hinted at that he may be able to help V with their illness provided they do something for them in return, and considering that the illness killing V is related to the chip rewriting her DNA to better fit the the psyche of Johnny Silverhand it does not seem like a stretch that one who is able to reprogram the mind might be able to cure this illness too.

I think he's a NightCorp executive, and that's why the legend ending is somewhat optimistic for me. Because if anyone is able to help V, it's NightCorp.

He reminds the illusive man so much.

"The Reapers are more than a sci fi trope, V. They're real, and they are at war with us, whether the blind throngs of BD-addicted masses know it or not."

Mr. Blue Eyes takes a long draw on his cig.

"My company was founded to protect Humanity, by the most clandestine methods, against the most hidden threats. I know you view corporations with suspicion, as well you should. So feel free to question my methods if you wish, but do not doubt my staunch commitment to protecting our species... broken and twisted though it may be. Can Cerberus Inc. count on your help in the defense of Humanity, V?"

From my understanding the chip doesn't rewrite V's DNA. But his/her neural pathways. It bassicly replaces V with Johnny in the head of the body which acts as a vessel.

If you've watched Ghost in the shell, think in terms of replacing one shell's ghost with another ghost copy of the previous.

Even Alt couldn't predict the outcome of this. Because the Johnny that V has in the chip is not the dead Johnny Silverhand. It's a separate and new being althogether, aka copy of johny. But as one of the monks nearby the docks said "a copy of a person is still a separate, different person".

Another analogy of the situation would be the paradox "ship of theseus" which explores identity. A simplified example of the paradox would be a simple object. If you replace a hammers head with an identical head and then the handle, is it still the same hammer you had before?

In my opinion it is not. This is why V cannot be saved. And Alt makes that clear.

His/hers neural pathways, memories, everything that makes up this identity has already been damaged and progressively rewritten. Ie the percentage of the corruption when 'relic malfunction' occurs story line-wise. One could also argue that the true (for lack of better words) V died along side or shortly after Jackie.

I wish this subject was explored more in the story and overall game.

Johnny Silverhand: "Wake the [BEEP] up, Samurai. We've got a city to burn...
Mr. Blue Eyes: "And ashes to smell..."

Notices the crowbar next to me: Oh, [BEEP]. Here we go, again...

Semantics but you get what I mean, V is dying because her neural pathways have been rewritten to acommodate Johnny Silverhand which is why if Johnny takes control it is inferred the body with live longer but if V's consciousness is transferred back the body will only have 6 months. I mean you can argue whether or not V is the same person as technically what Alt uploaded back into her body was a mere copy of her consciousness but that is beside the point. The point is that everything seems to suggest that Mr Blue Eyes is somehow associated with the group that is rewriting the memories and neural pathways of the Jeffersons, considering this is something that the do and what is killing V it does seem like Mr Blue Eyes would be in a unique position to help. That is my theory at least, though with the openness of the endings I am not sure we will see a continuation of V's story but just fun to theorize about.

I entirely forgot to add something in my reply that was on the actual subject subject; according to the wiki, it states that his npc for Mr Blue Eyes is named Morgan Blackhand and there is plenty of info about that man. Maybe that could provide more answers.

There's definitely some 'the illusive man' type of deal going on here with that character. Which is intriguing.

When I scanned his model out in the overworld it just come up as Mr Blue Eyes, unless you are talking about what his model is named in the game files?

But from what we know of Morgan Blackhand it does not really seem to fit with what we see of Mr Blue Eyes. Morgan Blackhand is a solo, more of a combat specialist in the vein of somebody like Snake Plisken or something like that, more the type that you would send on these sorts of dangerous missions rather than the person who would be giving them out.

Aren't you also hacked on that mission and told that they know of your "condition" before talking with Mr B? Think it's after checking the TV.

Just found on the laptop in the space station is a message from vik, he says " V, asked around town about your "client," it's like I said. Nobody knows a damn thing. Meaning one of two things [or maybe both]:
A) the guys swimming with great whites way above our info circle, high up enough that nobody can even give us the known unknowns, or,
B) hes shady as hell, given this city doesint abide the nameless.
Either way make sure you know what your doing V."
End of Vick's message.

Someone theorized that in the Legend ending V is being controlled like the Peralez and that's why they're acting as an asshole with their partner.
I don't know if it's true but it definitely would be a nice theory and a nice way to justify the lack of a "let's forget this final heist and live happily ever after with your partner"

If that was the case why would Mr. Blue Eyes negotiate with V in person? Some remote mind control would do the trick, wouldn't it?

Actually I think it is V's partner that is being an asshole with them!

Oh how selfish of me Panam, lets do all the things that YOU want to do. I only wanted to do one last mission for somebody who might be able to cure my sickness but even though I only have 6 months to live I will run away with you and roll in the muck with your Nomad buddies just because you can't stand living in the city for a few months.
