I prefer Judy.

I love how she is such a wholesome person, feels real and seems to me like someone who got her shit together.

She has passion, loves art and tech. Can be hands on but is also a dreamer.

I love how independent she is and you earn her trust until she lets you into her life.

She can be naive, has her doubts and troubles, but appears to me the most as a fleshed out character.

Johnny is cool, but he is a dick.
He is definitely a narcissist and can't help it.

Panam is sexy, but she feels to me girly, falling in love for the first time.
She have so many issues she needs to sort out first and to me, she isn't ready for a real relationship. Too much drama.

Jackie is a bit too cliche for me.
He seems to be a fine guy. A street kid dreaming of more.

Misty has some serious Bladerunner vibes going on. Esoteric is nice and good, but she is too spacy and Jackie's girl.

Vik is a cool character.
I love the first scene with him and it is such a shame that ripper docs cut so heavily later in the game...no sitting in the seat. No new operations, just boring pop-up screen.

I would have loved if I could have explored his boxing and Merc past a bit more. Maybe him coaching you with the street fights and not just the final one.

River - I genuinely had to look him up. Oh, yeah, to goodie two shoes guy.

Goro is a great character, but it feels too much like he is just using us.

What's probably true.

Especially with the corpo path it would have been nice to get some recognition and respect.

But he ends up too much of a broken man. I feel pity for him.

I am really sad, that there are not more rich characters. The game is full of interesting npcs, but you can't interact with them.

It feels like in a terrible Matrix. Everything looks great at first glance, but the moment you want to interact with it...it turns out to be all just an illusion.

I go for Panam simply because she got the best character development. Judy decides to leave. And if you choose to not date her. Gives less to her. So she falls to number 2. Followed by Johnny, Claire, Takemura, and River. Everyone else are badly done, or underused.

This is unpopular, I like Yorinobu after seeing his demise in the end, the game portrays Yorinobu as the bad guy if we look from Takemura and Hanako perspective. I think Yorinobu wants to end Arasaka legacy of madness, if he had a conversation with Johnny I think they would reach the same understanding, in the end forming a scheme to end Arasaka from the inside. The real villain is Saburo.

Not unpopular at all I think. I felt the same. Very messed up guy with major issues in regards to his family business but I too got the impression Yarinobu intended to end Arasaka dominance. He is really a sad character fighting his own family and in the end losing his body to to his father. I agree that Johnny and he would have had a lot to talk about.. that is if Johnny could look beyond his hatred of corpo's

I love Panam because I love her personality, she's brave, she's someone who cares with her loved ones, she never give up, well, sometimes she thinks about that but with some help she always can get what she wants and yeah, she doesn't want to loose you and yeah, I also love Panam because, Idk, CDPR did a great job with everything when they made her, like some expressions, ... Idk, it's hard to explain, I think they made a character that really provoked a big impact to all of us (people who also loves that character)

Other than V (yeah i mean I liked the protag as you can make them how you want)

Panam and Jackie were strong characters. Judy too, although would have been better if she was a love interest for both male and female.

Kind of warmed to Goro but then if you dont go along with 'the devil' ending, he kind of sends you a shitty message at the end (even though you save his life).

My favorite Character is a character that plays only a small role.
Mother Welles. She seems to be one the few characters who cares for V and not because you did them favours.

River, Kerry, Judy, Panam, Goro all abandon you if you do not get a ending that suits them or you do not finish their quests a certain way. MW is backing you up no matter what.

True, the main characters are merely a prop to move you along, some of the best characters can be found outside the main story, or bit part players they are called in Movies.

I vote V (other) because I reallg liked how V gets portrayed. And ofcourse what helps her case is that you get to experience from her eyes.
Then Judy and Panam and Takemura for fairly obvious reasons. They are central to the main story and therefore get much more screentime than most. And they're very much likeable.

Closely followed by Jackie, Vic and Evelyn, mainly because they simply arent seen more of (very much a shame)

Next ranking line I'm gonna say Dum Dum and Johnny.
While Djm Dum is seen only very briefly, I really liked that gonkass Maeler. He was fun as hel.
And Johnny.. hes cool in his own regard and the character is fine. Just never really lined up with me so. He's pretty much the antagonist to my V.

Thwn follows Misty. She's ... A unique spirit in a city like NC. Deserves respect and it was nice having some completely different kind of interactions and vibe when visiting her. It was refreshing.

I voted Kerry, really liked what I saw of and in him. There is so much going on underneath that rockerboy-surface. Also his quests were fun and distracted me from V dying for a while.

But Johnny and Panam are very close behind... also Vik - it's really hard to name just ONE favorite character in this game.

I voted for Johnny, he was my buddy during the adventure and I enjoyed his company most of the time.
Hard to choose between him and Goro and Panam.

Has to be Judy for me, with River at close 2nd. Panam is third. All have great storylines and quests, but Judy's definitely takes the top spot. Pyramid Song sold it for me.

I think I'd have to pick Rogue. She very much embodies the older (2020) Cyberpunk for me, lots of pathos and she's lived a life that is often undisclosed to the player, makes her very interesting.

River and Yorinobu are tied for me

I’m so curious as to what DLC will bring and if CDPR will actually expand on River’s P.I. in which V could take part in.

Panam is 2nd as V’s ride or die bff although she’ll be leaving NC.

Everyone else is awesome as well with Johnny surprisingly growing on me.
