Why Ciri can't be romanced?

Hi everyone, I guess this question was asked many times before, but...

Why Ciri, which is the most important NPC in TW3, can't be romanced in any way?

She is already adult in Witcher 3 and suits for Geralt much better then Yen or Triss. Given Geralt's natural hyperactivity in love (about 20 women you can lay on in main game just selecting plain option in dialogue, without any effort), it is strange that there is no even slightest spark between them, though they are certainly very close to each other, this is simply unrealistic. Yes, maybe full romancing line will be somewhat strange given "father and daughter" position in a story, but some hot eye contacts, some random phrases breaking in mid-sentence, this things will make last missions more immersive.
This may be non-moral, but Geralt sure don't have any morality in this aspect - he says "I love you" to Triss, sent her to Kaer Morhen and then he travels to Skellige and may continue with Yen without any obstacles, there is simply no dialog option "Sorry, Yen, why I was searching Ciri in Novigrad I met Triss.."

Um...no....just no. At least not with the story as it's told. Ciri is Geralt's daughter, moreso than she is Emphyr's. She even looks more like Geralt with a touch of Yen. There is just no way a romance between Geralt and Ciri is possible.

Now if you want to roleplay a totally different story then why not, it's your game. Recently, I used the young Geralt mod and NPC switch mods to roleplay an entirely different story between Geralt and Ciri. Like they both had Elder Blood and was running from the Wild Hunt or something. They look great together (even though they look more like siblings) and I did enjoy the made up romance aspects of it moreso than I did the Triss/Yen romances, and switching Ciri out with other NPCS and using companion mods to bring her along made her feel more prominent which made the romance between them more solid, but once again, this was me head canoning a totally different story using these characters and setting.

Ciri can be romanced. Ask Skjall. Of course, Geralt, as the father figure and Yen as the mother, would need to give their approval. And they did, in a way... At least Geralt did.

Evolution process showed that best chance for survival is in genetically diverse pairs, so there is natural psychological mechanism that prevents any love interest between parents and childs. This mechanisms works in first years of human life and is called imprinting. But Siri came to Kaer Morhen not a newborn and Geralt start to care about her later so there is no natural causes for "father and daughter" relationships - only moral. But as game shows, Geralt don't have much morality in love so I don't see why there can be no interest between him and Siri
There are tons of classical films and books where young man (18-22 years old) cares about small girl and then they are splitted and met again when he is 30+, and she is 18+ and they become married. The way it is shown in TW3 it is the same case.
I am sorry if I offend any of Witcher fans, I played only TW3 and don't know what was earlier.

The little girl looked at him with large eyes that were green as the grass in the spring and bright as two stars. He saw her suddenly pick up speed and run... He heard her cry out in a shrill and piercing voice:
“Geralt!”
The witcher turned away from the horse in a swift and graceful motion. He ran to meet the young girl. Yurga was speechless. He never thought that a man could move so fast. They met in the middle of the yard: the little ashen-haired girl dressed in gray; the white-haired witcher with a sword on his back, dressed in shiny silver-studded black leather. The witcher jumped lightly, the little girl stumbled, the witcher on his knees, thin girlish hands around his neck, gray mousy hair falling on his shoulders. Złotolitka gave a muffled scream. Yurga drew her to him without saying a word and took her in his arms. His other arm hugged the two boys.
“Geralt!” the little girl repeated, clinging to the witcher's chest. “You've found me! I knew it! I always knew! I knew you'd find me!”
“Ciri,” the witcher said.
Yurga did not see Geralt's face, hidden by the ashen hair. He could only see hands clad in black gloves squeezing the girl’s back and shoulders.
“You've finally found me! Oh, Geralt! I waited all this time! Yes, a terribly long time... We'll stay together now, won't we? Now we'll be together, right? Say it, Geralt! Forever! Say it!”
“Forever, Ciri.”
“Yes, just like they said! Geralt! Like they said... I'm your destiny? Say it! I'm your destiny?”
Yurga was astonished when he saw the eyes of the witcher. He heard Złotolitka's weeping quietly and felt her shoulders trembling. He watched the witcher and waited, in suspense, for his answer. He knew that he would not understand the answer, but he waited anyway. And as he waited.
Someday I'm gonna romance you, Ciri. Someday.”

When Ciri starts dating, that person ends up dead. Geralt however, wouldn't for obvious reasons. Although she is very beautiful. Just not the White Wolf. His heart belongs to Yennefer.
His heart belongs to Yennefer, but he is ready to have sex with everything that moves, yep. Of course life is not ideal and there are situations when people might have side short relationships without a thought or wish to hurt there spouse.. but in a game it is just disastrous, Geralt is a superhero and every women wants him and usually answer "no" to that woman looks like a way to injure her feelings so because of kindness of his heart, Geralt must agree..

Geralt actually expresses his opinion about hot father-daughter sex in the books.
Lady of the Lake said:
“You’ve recognized me,” the Emperor smiled. “A lack of beard and a change of behavior changed me completely. The people who had seen me at Cintra, and came to Nilfgaard to have audience with me, no longer recognized me. And you saw me only once, after all, sixteen years ago. I was so etched in your memory?”

“I did not recognize you; you’ve actually change very much. I figured out who you were some time ago. Not without outside help and guidance, I guessed what role you were to play in family incest with Ciri. And in one of my nightmares, I once dreamed of hideous incest. And here you are, in the flesh.”
For background information: Emhyr, the biological father of Ciri, had a fancy goal in the books. He wanted to father that prophecized son of Ciri, so that his oh so special very own blood would end up being that prophecized "The Chosen One, ruler of the world" figure. (In the books, the offspring of Ciri is that The Chosen One figure, not Ciri herself). His reasoning might have been: "It's nicer if 75% of the genes of that son are my own, far better than just 25%."

That was the reason for Emhyrs military campaign to the north and for that hunt for Ciri. In short, he's a really sick fuck.

And that's what Geralt thinks of that act of hot father-daughter sexual intercourse as well.

It's phrased even harsher in the translation of the books I have in my native language. If I may do an attempt of putting this translation from Polish into English, that line goes like this:
let's try to translate Erik Simon's German translation from Polish into English said:
In one of my nightmares, I saw one of the most horrible, most disgusting forms of incest that I can imagine. And here you are, in the flesh.

So yeah. Romance her with Skjall and imagine her having hot sex with Bea or Avallach or Eredin or Vilgefortz, if that pleases you. You can even daydream about some hot Geralt-Ciri sex if you find this enjoyable. Your mind is your own, after all.

But it is clear that Geralt, who sees himself as far more of a father figure for Ciri than Emhyr ever was, would not enjoy being part of any such activities. And, as you just witnessed by the fast and strong reactions in this thread here, the reaction of the large majority of the audience is similar to that of Geralt (i.e. "not in favour"), so asking for dialogue options and special hot cutscenes, just for your own special phantasy is asking a little bit too much, I think.

CDPR went out of their way to make them even look like father/daughter with the identical hair colour, the same messy way to style the hair, the identical placement of the scar next to the left eye and the black shadows around the eyes. :p

In the books, her facial features actually looks a lot like her biological daddy (just with Pavetta's eye and hair colour), rather than like Geralt, but CDPR wanted to stress how much like a daughter of Geralt she even looks like. And that was most likely an attempt to try and prevent the assault of "mhm, hot Geralt-Ciri sex would be nice" non-readers.

A relationship change of this type was worked into the Japanese manga Bunny Drop. Needless to say, it was very controversial. The anime and film completely ignore it.

Just because he's promiscuous doesn't mean that he'd romance his daughter - and that's just what Ciri is, despite them being of different blood. She's more his daughter than Emhyr's; he's more a father to her than Emhyr will ever be. Having an option to romance Ciri would just be wrong and totally out of character for Geralt because he sees her as his daughter. She's his child of destiny. That's a very special bond. Try the books. The relationship between Geralt and Ciri will become a lot clearer.

Also, Geralt is no superhero, at least not in the books. In the books, he's an anti-hero. He does what he does because he gets paid for it and because he's been trained to kill monsters, not because he feels especially heroic. If you could ask book-Geralt whether he considered himself a hero, he'd say no. Also, he doesn't want to be involved with politics. It happens anyway and he doesn't like it at all because, after all, he's just a witcher.

Every woman wants him? There are a lot of disrespectful comments towards him, from both men and women. So not every woman is ready to jump his bones; a lot find him repellent and/or are scared of him because he's different. The games give you the option to sleep with a lot of women because that's part of Geralt's character but it doesn't mean he can't be faithful (or can't be played that way). It also doesn't mean that he never turns down a woman simply out of kindness or because he doesn't want to hurt her. How did you get that idea? In Witcher 3, my Geralt turned down every woman, except Keira and Yen. The game enables you to do that. It also enables you to choose otherwise if you wish to do so.

Lytha, thanks for detailed opinion and as I said I don't want to offend anyone and the least thing I want is a sex scene between Geralt and Ciri, as for me there is no need for such scenes in RPG games at all. One with Triss at lighthouse OR one with Yen in that ship over mountain (i don't know if there is such scene there, but place looks suitable) will be more then enough.
I just said that in TW3 it is not that obvious that Ciri is "daughter" and given annoying Yen in the first part and stupid rat killing quest with Triss (actually the only one, though absolutely great quest with Triss is visit to that villa to save boy from witchhunters), Siri looks like good variant at that game stage.
If you played Baldur's Gate 2 you must remember three alternatives there - good, bad and neutral, and this is looks like a standart (brunette, red, blonde) if you don't read books about witcher.

Dude...she's your daughter.

Didn't read past the title. Too grossed out to read further. :p
