So maravel was collaborating with Henselt and not directly Nilfgaard ? What do you think Dethmold would gain if Henselt is dead ? Give a troubled Kaedwen some advantage with Nilfgaard ?Dethmold did not kidnap her. Anais was kidnapped on her way to Loc Muinne by Maravel's people and delivered to nilfgaardians. That's why Dethmol calls her "Nilfgaard's most precious gift". Also Radovid tells Geralt and Roche that the girl was kidnapped by the Nilfgaardians. Nilfgaardians exchanged her for an invitation to Loc Muinne. Henselt was going to use her as a leverage on a summit, and, probably, to make land claims to Temeria. If Geralt and Roche save her, bring to the summit, and hand over to Radovid, if Henselt is alive, we have an awesome scene of a very disappointed Henselt.
He probably just doesn't want the other kings to have Anais, if Henselt doesn't gain power no one should. Dethmold might've gone and did Hanmarvyn's Blue Dream on Henselt and found out Roche killed him, if so he might seek revenge in W3.If Henselt dies, Dethmold "inherits" the girl, so to speak. What he was planning on doing with her, we don't really know.
Whoah! I think the chance of dethmold being alive is really slim though...If henselt loses philippa demands that Dethmold gets executed and if you help roche on his path we know what happens $_$He probably just doesn't want the other kings to have Anais, if Henselt doesn't gain power no one should. Roche says "Dethmold got away, thanks Geralt"Does Dethmold ever get to live ?
