Why EVERYTHING ends up on shooting?

Just completed my first all stealth job (The neutralize enemy and gather evidence side missions).
Usually what you are saying is true, these things just turn into a shoot out. But it's situational, and it's careful planning that really is the difference.

Use Ping. When you ping a device, it will show you everything around the area. Observe their movements, and take them out as best you can. The right perks can make things easier or more efficient obviously.

Aim for the Ghost perk in Cool-->Stealth. It will take enemies way longer to notice you.
Early game hacking is tough if you want to go stealth and get out clean.

lol, hacking is THE strongest way to kill people.

It is, you're just unimaginative about it. There's only a handful of missions where stealth isn't an option.

Yup very early on I figured out
go into stealth (which is just crouching and not the type of stealth people use to
Stand at distance behind a object
Ping each enemy
Breach of course
then start picking them off with short circuit

I almost never use my sniper rifle anymore and havent used my pistol in forever now
Mostly I just short circuit them and have sword ready should one wise up and come looking for me!

My Stealth, hacking, breach, and street cred goes up pretty quickly

Though having said that
I still enjoy Deus Ex Human Revolution more for using the air ducts and crawl spaces to complete bypass enemies (if you patient and careful)

I'm beginning to think you haven't played the game.

its sad how many still think this is a FPS first
But at this stage nothing going to change their mind
CDPR even made the announcement number months back that this is first a RPG to try and diminish some of the misinformation about this being a GTA FPS clone.

/shrug, what can you do
people seem to hear what they want to hear now a days

Ahem... I am half way through the main story and almost never had to shoot someone.

It is possible to go stealth. You can usually separate opponents standing next to each other. Sometimes you might have to look for another way. Once, for example, I had to enemies looking at each other through a window... and always seemed to stay in each other's view when I distracted them. But then I realized there was a missing skylight in the next room and I made my way to the roof and made it behind their lines.

Had several moments and opportunities like this.

I understand criticism of some of the RPG elements. But saying that you can only play this as a looter shooter is just not true and ignores many of the possibilities this game offers. Much more so than most other open world game quests do.

Totally agree here.

My build is a bit half stealth, half gun user....with a bit of "Hitman" qualities. I shoot to kill when it makes sense. I use stealth if the opportunity is there and challenge myself to see how far i or the game will let me traverse through an area without being caught.

I think many players keep their eyes pointed forward too much and dont look up enough. Ive discovered many ways to jump and cling onto a ledge to avoid enemies and complete objectives. Its the mindset that makes the difference on this type of play....run through the game like a locust or slow down a bit, take in the atmosphere, and create a new way of dealing with the obstacles before you.

Im still digging this game despite its few flaws. Every mission is approached the same way......go in and out quietly if possible, fill my pockets with what i can, and if that goes south....then pull out the iron.

I have probably similar build. Your skill perks combined with cyberwere give you enough flexibility to deal with any situation. Personally I deal with things differently, depending on the situation, sometimes I fell sneaky and sometimes I just want to chew bubblegum and kick ass.
