@DelightfulMcCoyI don't have anything against girls playing this game (I think it's awesome), nor do I tell you to STFU, because your opinions differ from mine, and I'm certantly not saying or thinking that the males are superior to the more beautiful opposite sex (I'm sorry if that offended you, wasn't implying anything chauvinistic). I thought that you were a dude, who's screaming to see Geralt's 'dagger', and in one of your posts you've stated that you see nothing wrong if Geralt could date other men in the game (correct me if I'm mistaken). That's something that 80% of the Witcher players would find unacceptable, and it would ruin the Geralts character, and the lore. And yes, this game's core demographic are straight male gamers (not white, black, red, yellow or even green)! But I have nothing against CDP catering to their female fans (God bless em.. ups I did it again), as long as it don't ruin the experience for us. Geralt without pants.. OK, but Geralt with his vertical or horizontal 'stick'.. I don't know, I could live with it somehow, but it would hurt CDP considerably. And it's not like Triss is fully exposed.. P.S. Hell, yeah!! After some thinking, I don't mind seeing Geralt's penis, and would love to see him and Triss getting it on, for real! Take that, Hillary!!http://themoderatevoice.com/wordpress-engine/files/2008-november/hillary_clinton.jpg

I'm not sure if it's been intentional or not but this thread has become quite humorous ;) To all the ladies that play and enjoy The Witcher games... more power to you! As I stated earlier; I think TW2 seems to be going in the right direction as far at not being a sexist game catered for only for a male audience. No sex cards with only naked women and Triss isn't wearing useless and revealing armor anymore.I have no problem with Geralt getting just as naked as any of the female characters as long as CDPR does it tastefully :) And to clarify (since it has been a problem in the past) yes, I am male :p

You should think a little for the game and CDPR hm? Do you know what will happen if we can clearly see a penis in the game? DOOM! For TW and CDPR.

I think you are being a bit melodramatic. If you read my post I said "as long as it's done tastefully". This means having Geralt naked in the same way that Triss is naked. They don't zoom in on her pubic region or anything. The scene they showed was very tastefully done :)

I love Triss new design. She looks much more practical and like she can kick butt. Women in the Witcher have always come across as strong and independent if you ask me. They know what they want sexually and otherwise. Though I would love to play a game made by CD project with a female protagonist. Not that I would change Geralt for the world, or make female witchers or anything.I think the problem is to make it look tastefull if they do show a penis. Butt would be more than enough for realism. But as long as its done well I am fine either way

They can show whatever they want as long as we don't have to see what morning wood for a Witcher is like. :p

Yeah, after I belatedly realized the pun, I was kinda waiting on someone to pick up on that.Well, if you're wildly curious, I'd go about it like the vampire in the wh0rehouse: after a nice bath (he's covered knee-deep in sewers, ew!), he can have his dreams fulfilled for a couple hours. For a couple orens. :D

oh boy. >_>i can just see the fine print on some of potions geralt swigs down:
Alchemist General's Warning: Causes enlarged veins, cat eye pupils, white hair, unnaturally fast healing, and resistance to poison. Side effects may include drowsiness, blurred vision, and in some rare cases, extreme priapism.

I can imagine that being a problem with all those high toxin potions Geralt drinks like cheap soda. All that in the blood is bound to give you priapus. No wonder he's gritting his teeth all the time.

I understand the argument for gender equality, and I agree that it would make a lot more sense for Geralt to be in the buff as well. That said however, this does not mean that I want to see Witcher Wang all over the show, which some people in this thread immediately seem to equate with a nude male character. And to the people saying that male nudity in a game will automatically result in a AO rating you might want to rethink that too.GTA IV had full frontal male nudity during a cutscene in The Balad of Gay Tony and it only had a Mature rating. Then there was also male nudity in Heavy Rain, although no full frontal, but still the game only had a Mature rating. The inclusion of nudity in a game does not mean that it will be banned or rated AO, the bigger concern for the rating boards are how and in what context the nudity is used. If it's used purely for the sake of showing naked flesh then they tend to be a lot harsher with their ratings than if it actually in context within the game as a whole. So having Geralt naked in a cutscene edited in such a way that you're not assaulted by full frontal nudity could definitely work in the game without negatively impacting on it's overall age rating.

Actually female nudity as well, and not to mention a prelude to a sex scene almost where you as the player uncloth the main female character forgot her name (with the controller no less, lol) and see full frontal and the funny thing is I don't think anyone made a big deal over that, at least compared to the whole original Mass Effect romance scene drama, and naturally Bioware can say whatever they want, but that whole controversy over the romance scene in the original mass effect caused them to change directions on how it's portrayed for all their future games.. (As Origins, Mass Effect 2 and even DA: 2, those scenes are down right stupid, to a point of why bother?, lol) But only time will tell if they make a big deal out of this, for this game, but I give the developers props for trying to showcase what they want in their own game, so let's hope the ratings board don't censor them in North America.

The nudity in Heavy Rain was perfect, felt realistic and gave good tension to some of the scenes. And her name was Madison, by the way.I agree that Dragon Age is a game that really could benefit with a better attitude to nudity. Seeing characters in badly animated sex scenes wearing their ugly last-minute designed underwear is nothing but comical, and makes the sex scenes seem stupid and childish rather than actually sexy in any way.

Why do you think the companions in DA II have their unique armors and you can't give them different clothes anymore? Yes, less micromanaging for the console players, sure. But mostly, I think, because the modders made it too real in DAO. They created nice body replacers without stupid underwear and even extended camp cutscenes. BioWare musta peeked on the Nexus a little too hard. Bummer. At least in DAO you could go and steal a kiss from your LI every time you felt like it, in DA II there's one kiss, one fade to black and one final affirmation/denial of your relationship. WTF?There was a romance scene to speak of in ME 1? Where? When? Wasn't very memorable, huh? But at least you could flirt a lot, that was fun.The end was a little thin, though. And they expect us to be faithful for that until ME3???I wonder, why are people so stuck up about sex in video games? Which is very little and not explicit. And the games are M rated for violence anyway. Anyone been looking tv lately? More sex than you can stand. A lot of it rather gratuitous. And you don't even have to verify your age to buy a tv set. So what?I think CDPR have done the best they could with what they wanted to and still sell it in the US. Yes, I get that the European market alone is too small, considering what a small percentage of games are still made and sold for pc anyway. Too bad... *a moment of mourning* Okay, I'm done. I was meaning to say that it looks good from what we've already seen and it's a huge improvement from the card collecting game (after a couple playthroughs I didn't even care to do it anymore). Very much looking forward for not gratuitous, but natural romance stuff that just fits into the story, yay. :)

Ugh.Cant believe people are actually using the word sexism in this context(or well I quess I can,sad really).Still many cultures in this world that consider women inferior to men,but surely Geralt having pants on qualifies as sexism just aswell.Anyway, good to see CDR willing to break away from the "Eek,nudity!"mentality that seems to plague some of the more recent rpg releases (looking at you Bioware).

Meh,my quess would be it got something to do with the lingering stigma that video games are for children/young teens.Funny really, slaughtering people left and right is fine, but heaven forbid theres some nudity and before you know it its being scandalized by some news network with apparently nothing more important to report (*cough* fox *cough*).

DUDE, this is just a video game, its an Action RPG not and Action Porn. besides, seeing some "object" moving around like a bell, would really look . . . what the word ! . . . ah ! distasteful, disturbing, and disgusting, i mean guys come on ! this is an RPG. lets not mix things together.I agree that geralt is described as a womanizing sex monster, but just showing him attempting the act would be enough, rather than doing the whole thing. as in just showing him getting close to the other person just like it was in witcher 1, that would be enough. more than that is out of context.
