Why Many Players Not Giving GG

+
i even give a gg to people they didnt give one, as consolation because they lost. i can count this people ...i barely dont get one, because i always give one. lots of players just wait to see if they get one to give one back.

childish behavior to refuse it ... just my 2 cents

Basic rule of thumb for me:
- Any BMing whatsoever(excessive taunts, playing cards after I've already passed while losing in the 3rd round, roping, ect) and you're not getting a GG.
- Any other situation you get the GG

Thing to note, when playing on XBOX I've noticed that if a player concedes I can't give them GG. So that happens too. I personally won't ever concede games, I'll just pass with 3 cards left in hand and take the loss. From there people can decide if they want to get the win or stroke themselves first.

i spam taunts the entire match and would say i still get GG from 90% of people

Good point. I'm gonna stop giving GG to console players for wasting my leisure time due to server issues.

Your notion is inaccurate, you know that it's inaccurate, but you can't help but act as if it were accurate?
Did I understand that right? Just checking.

you just further prove my point about PC players making light of our issues. had a good % of you guys shown any solidarity for us, maybe CDPR would have taken the issue more seriously. but instead you want to laugh and be happy about your free wins.

and you didn't understand what i was saying either. i said i know the characterization does not fit every single person. but when all i have to go on is a name that i don't know, then the generalization is what i lean on. and that generalization of a pc player is: more apt to rope, complain on reddit. probably using a tracker, laughing about xbox players getting a raw deal.

I play on PC and console, I always give GG unless I accidentally hit the wrong button when playing console and then I feel bad. I thought it was just more of a thanks for matching rather than you played well sort of thing?

I have voiced the opinion that server instability is Gwent's biggest issue in the appropriate thread.
Nor have I stated anything to the contrary here.

And here I was operating under the assumption that I'd prefer a fair game.
It takes PC players to convince CDPR to fix their console market?

That is exactly what I understood. You're not gonna GG any PC player because a small sample of them pissed you off. Induction.
How many have actually expressed to you that they enjoy their free wins?

Well, I do, and I hate losing after so much preparing and planning with the deck. It is frustrating as hell. When I lose, I am grouchy because things did not go as I expected, and not in the mood of congratulating anyone. In fact, I am usually yelling curses at the screen. I dont want the guy that beat me to get the wrong idea and imagine I really think it was a "good game" when I actually think it was an awful game in which I lost.

But if I win, he can count with a "good game" from me, because then I am in a good mood, unless he has been a jerk with the emotes or has been wasting my time taking long turns and roping me while I was playing lighting fast.

Everyone loses dude. Try to enjoy just playing the game.

As for the small reward that comes with your opponent saying "good game", like certain leader uses to say at the start of the match, "why should I help you?". Specially if you are the winner and you are already getting rewarded. To be honest, if you won, I hate you already. Sending a tip to someone you hate would be so stupid.

Why in the world do you hate someone over a game?

I've seen this topic in the forum for so long, I finally decided to say something after playing the game in earnest for about a month now. I try to give a GG after every game, but as an apology to those to whom I forfeited a few plays before the end (which, alas, has happened quite a few times while I work my way up in experience!), I have found that in many cases the GG button does not appear for me. Have other PC players seen this? Normally, what I'll do is hit my ESC key to bring up the dialog box to forfeit, and immediately after doing so, I get the usual NEXT prompt that goes through my levels, etc.

Am I missing something? It seems pretty easy to forfeit (and to save time, just pressing ESC is great), but about 9 times out of 10 I am unable to give a GG.

That is because the player either muted you or had mute on all the time in the settings so they don't know you do that.

they will spam back and still GG me

most people arent softies like the ones that post here

Meep Meep, softie coming through. As I've said before, it takes effort to hit the button, it takes nothing to not hit the button. At least do something to earn that effort. Insert butthurt/snowflake comment below.

I like it that we're given the choice to give one another a GG or not, and I think that it's ok that you choose not to give a GG whenever you lose. But, there's something great about giving someone a GG when I've lost. It allows me to show some humility, and release any resentment I hold toward, someone else for winning, or myself for losing -- I've read that residual resentment sometimes manifests into self-doubt, which in turn results in poor decision making, which is not good for Gwenting. Granted, it's not like it feels good... giving a GG when I've lost stings just like ripping off a band-aid. But over the long term, it's an easy way to maintain mental balance while playing.

It really depends if I give a GG or not.
If I'm playing against a top tier deck, I'm not playing one and lose I won't GG.
When I lose 3-4 games in a row I won't GG because of frustration.
Ciri Nova, spotter and bear/berserker/greatswords decks won't get a GG even if I win, I don't respect point bashing decks.
No GG either when my opponent continues playing all their cards if they've already won the game.
Mirror matching won't get a GG either because it's annoying and disrupting.
It's not a GG when my opponent removes everything when I use a deck that requires set-up.
Those stupid Scoia'tael decks that only use removal, weather, dopplers, Ciri Nova and/or Sentry's don't get a GG even if I win.
No GG when my opponent waits deliberatley till the last second every turn, CDPR should look into this.
In the past I didn't GG against players that taunt every second, it really is childish, now I disabled taunting.

No GG for players who know their last card isn't good enough to get them the win, but deliberately wait in the hope you'll forfeit.
