why do u keep posting that the GOG downloader works great? I know it does, the problem is I can't use it, I can install it with wine but It fails to log me in.... I was asking if someone knew an alternative to avoid downloading the files on by one, but I already did.....Oh and about the torrents. People associate torrents with piracy and counter-fitting, but in reality the bit-torrent protocol is more than that. Torrents are not slow, they are as slow or as fast as the swarm speed. You think of torrents as we sharing the files among ourselves, that would be stupid, as we don't have nearly 1/20 of GOG's servers speed . But you miss the big point; GOG WOULD BE SEEDING the file as well. So we get GOG's speed + our own uploading speed. It doesn't matter if people leave after downloading, because our main seeder ( GOG) will still be on.

What business would GOG, which is a profit-making business and well able to afford real servers, have asking their customers to donate CPU, disk, and network space to support a torrent network of unpredictable performance? They did a damn fine job of provisioning the network that is delivering the preload.Just because you want to use an OS that will not run the game does not mean they should cater to your unique need.
