why so long on cat and torches??!!
I don't know about everyone else, but I just can't see the logic behind sending you into dark places, "BEFORE"you get full access to the cat formula, or torches, or whatever. This really takes away from the game. I don't find it amusing to have to "feel" your way around in dark areas, especially so early on in the game. If it was somelate-game hard challenge of a dungeon....I could live with that.....but chapter one??!! Yes, I realize that this is nota major thing to some people, but what makes it stand out even more...is something that is written right on the game box: It talks about a vast world that is "BELIEVABLE". Now, if things are supposed to be so believable...then ask yourself this question: If you were about to go into a dark cave, would you just go waltzing in there without something to help you find your way? I'm sorry, but I just cannot see the reasoning behind this.I have been into rpg's since the stone-age days of SNES, and even in those antiquated little games, you always had access to the proper tools of exploration "BEFORE" you had to do the actual exploration. Fighting monsters, casting magic, etc. is fun (afterall, that's what rpg's are all about)....but it starts to suck, when you have to do it in the dark.
