Why there is no animals in trailer?

+
All kidding aside, there are actually some animals, but of course we make sure that they're used sensibly within the story of our world.
As an example, there's a stray cat wandering around the workshop of the ripperdoc called Victor. You might have heard about him in some of the previews that were released so far.

this cat is whole or has robotic parts?

All the pets have been eaten …… by the residents of the city now they are left with synthetic food soilent green.

I don't buy this whole extinction...
1. Humans are much more fragile than some animals.
2. There was no smog or pollution in the trailer.
3. There is some recycling containers in front of NCPD.
4. Even now we have frozen DNA most of all animals. So in 2077 dogs, cats or birds can be cloned.

1. No, no we are not. We are the only species adaptable enough to survive on every continent on Earth (and off it), and that's happening right now, let along in a world with augmentation.
2,3. A cleaned up world doesn't make things un-extinct.
4. True, but that costs a lot of money so only the Corps will have access to them.

That wouldn't be Nibbles, by any chance? (That's one sneaky cat.)
