As for your question mattyuno7, I used the backup copy, and gog has this downloader that lets you pause and resume the download, which is great because its over 15 GB since its the EE. The backup copy is good if you ever find yourself on a different computer, out of state, you lose the original CD you bought, whichever the scenario may be be, you can redownload it at anytime. There is no limit to how many times you can download it. I myself bought the premium edition last year before the EE came out, and I got a free upgrade to EE just by registering my copy on gog, which was awesome. Like Aver said not everyone buys their games on Steam, I myself like to keep a physical copy of any game I buy, and I still have the original game copy. Oh and the gog version also comes with like tons of extra stuff you can download like art books and other things. So yeah, there is a very good reason why someone would want a backup copy.
