Will CDPR be at GDC?

Maybe some official info?? Would be nice, that's when we can get an official release date. It'd be nice. Anyone? Thanks in advance!

So far they're not registered as an exhibitor: http://www.gdconf.com/expo/exhibitorlist.html :(

People from CDPR run a few presentations though:

Isn't GDC supposed to be for game developers and not for the media or public?

Whether or not they have something they can/want to release, the smart thing would still be to wait until E3 to unveil a kickass CG trailer aswell as gameplay footage and hands-on for attendees. That's where the focus is and with all the awards given to CDPR at last year's E3, everyone gonna be looking for them.

GDC 2014 starts March 17th, 2014 and ends March 21st, 2014

So GDC 2014 is gonna start in 1 week 3 days. I heard CD Projekt RED will be at GDC 2014.

So I really am hoping CD Projekt RED show a 10 minute gameplay YouTube video of The Wicher 3: Wild Hunt and at the end of the YouTube video reveal a release date.

Anyone else want this besides me? I am so anxious to see more of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and to finally know when I can purchase it to play it.

It's been a long year to wait.

Nothing from Bethesda Softworks interests me any more so it has been a boring and long year to wait :p.

Well GDC isn't public so I wouldn't keep my hopes up. Though they sometimes show a few things and there's recordings in the GDC Vault but I'm not sure about gameplay, seems pretty implausible.

No point, GDC is not public.

The less they show, the better, if anything at all. In the meantime you should get the books, they're pretty interesting. You will get a much better understanding of the story and the characters, especially Yennefer and Triss. :)

Definitely. Just look at the trailers released at E3 last year, they have like 2-2,5 million views, while e.g. the VGX trailer cannot even get close.
Now if the game is to be released in November or December, they'd still have 5 or 6 months to promote the hell out of the game.

The VGX trailer has about as many views, when combined with the number of views it got on GameTrailers, where it was released exclusively for a few days. With that said, GDC is not the place for big reveals.

Oops, you're right, I forgot about that. Still, E3 might be ideal for them to step into the spotlight.

Debut trailer: 2,379,659 views (Youtube alone), VGX trailer: 1,441,935 (Gametrailers + Youtube).

That being said, there are more things to take into account when looking at these views and comparing them. But still, it is almost a million views difference.

A lot more people watch E3 compared to VGX/VGA. And VG"X" was a rather new...thing and not exactly something that gets heralded with posters and banners everywhere.

True, shows the general public's average attention span really. If it's not flashy and in their face they lose interest quickly.
Funnily enough, Gamescom seems to have brought in way more views than E3. At least from what I could gather from 3rd party sites. Statistics seem to be disabled on CDPR's youtube videos.

Debut trailer was out 6 or so months before the VGX trailer, and the fact that it was exclusive for a while damaged the view numbers as well. A lot of videos that were showing the trailer were taken down in the first few days, so a lot of views went there. I'd say, when you take all of that into account, it's about the same amount; certainly not a case of "the VGX trailer cannot even get close," as Mohasz said initially.

It's not that dire, no. But I do think TW3's marketing needs a jump start. Let's just hope that the promise of it's glorious marketing campaign will start rolling sooner rather than later.

Ugh, again with the overused waiting for good things? There is a time at which the waiting takes too long and is unrewarding because of the chosen path of which things have been handled.

I would say that an incompetent marketing strategy results in frustration but as a Star Wars fan I can admire the quote.
