For the reference, one of the Unity engine developers ported their editor to Linux in his spare time (and it became their official Linux version eventually). If some modders inside CDPR will really want, they can make an editor too. It would be the question of CDPR willing to release it.This is all we're going to get. I honestly think they don't have the time and manpower to do a full modding kit, but their comment about not wanting to 'partition' the Witcher community only means less PC/modding support in the future.

If it's still planned, what's the reason not to say so explicitly?I can only think of two possible outcomes.
1) RedKit 2 is coming but it's still far away (mid-late 2016), in PR talks "not planning" doesn't always mean never going to happen, isn't that the same they said about New Game + ? See how that turned out.

+ many and many. This is happening not only with modding tools, but practically with most topics. Community is simply left in the dark. I really appreciate how studios which crowdfund their projects communicate. They are open and forthcoming, because they know that their relation with community is important for their success. I don't get that feeling with CDPR.The really sad thing is not even the lack of the REDkit itself but CDPR's piss poor communication.
