Windows 7 issues and solutions

WHY i must read anything? I've paid my money for the game, not for the Practicing in game compilation. The game worked perfect on WinXP, why it isn't on Win7? Know what?,- pirats solves your problems with compatibility theirselves, if I'll decide install pirate version I'll have NO problems at all. And now i'm having big porblems. I've back up'ed Windows after one non secure advise. Your advises isn't working. Do you think somebody will buy your nr2?

The game came out before Windows 7 was even developed or even before it was in RC stage . The game does run on Windows 7 but you have to do a little work and yes it runs on XP because it was developed for XP. What kind of problem are you having ?

Dunno if I am writing it in the correct section, I need to ask something though.. I have a problem with fighting in Witcher. I keep clicking on a mob to make Geralt attack him and all I see is a monster dying without me moving my sword.. It looks like this always in every fighting style... I reinstalled drivers, game, still the same. Have anyone got a clue what can it be?

You mean that Geralt never swings his sword and the monsters die anyway . Does this happen with all monsters or just groups ?

no difference if it's group or not, as you said he doesn't swing his sword and they die anyway..

Is the gameplay other than the monster issue normal ? digital or disc version ? Also what game version ?

I guess it works fine dispite that problem. It's 1.5 patch I guess, enhanced version. it's digital

Have you verified file integrity through the download site. When you click the launcher and get to the new/load game screen click the options tab and click the video tab and uncheck full screen and click accept your version will be in the upper left of screen. The latest version is 1.4.5.1304

Actually this is the first time that i have heard of this type of glitch especially for all fighting styles. Has it been this way from the beginning or something that has started recently. Do you have any mods installed ?

Its going on like that since I installed the game.. Have no idea if I have any mods, I think I don't. I have found a guy with the same problem and he told me to reinstall drivers which helped in his case. Maybe there is some kind of patch which would fix that thing or should I change the version of the patch installed so that the problem will disapear. What do you think?

Chances are if you don`t know if any mods are installed then they probably are not installed.If you are up to it then uninstall the game and do the clean install of the driversNote that when installing game , patches , or drivers temporarily disable antivirus as sometimes the antivirus running can interfere with any of the before mentioned programs and keep them from configuring properly

I just got a new laptop with an i7, 6 gigs of ram and an ati hd 5850 video card. In game every thing is fine, but the cutscenes are acting really strange. They are choppy for lack of a better word. The camera seems to pause about once a second but the sound continues. Eventually the cutscenes goes silent but the animation continues until it is supposed to end.I am running the most updated version of the game. Has anyone run into anything like this?

Disc install or digital download ?

It was a disc install, but the problem stopped after I ran some automatic windows updates this morning... I have no explanation for why. Well it works now so I'm happy and ican finally finish this game. Cant wait.

Hello,I hope that someone could help me with a window 7 problem. If I like to save the game the system crashes with the following message. "The witcher funktioniert nicht mehr" --> "the witcher doesn´t function any longer". I had that problem not from the very beginning of playing. At the beginning everything was great and I didn´t have any failures for 2 days playing. But after a while (it seems to depend on the sizes of saving data: but just a guess) I´m not able to save the game.As next steps I installed all patches that I found (now 1.3, 1.4 and now 1.5) and made updates of my bios and the graphic card.... but no luck. I still have the failure. I didn´t have any further Idea to solve this situation.My system information:Windows 7 professional 64 Bit 6.1AMD phenom II X4 920 2,8 Ghz4096 GB RamAuslagerungsdatei 1472 MB, available 6203 MBDirect x 11NVIDIA GeForce 8300 with 2 GB RAM, 1920 x 1080I hope someone of you could help me. thanks a lot cirlced
