Windows save do not load on Mac - Steam Cloud

Hi guys,

Back in 2023 was the last time I've played CP 2077 on my Windows machine. Since that time Im no longer have a Windows machine, instead I use a Mac mini today.

My problem: when I load the game I can't see my saves :(

The steam cloud sync is enabled e synced.

To reproduce:
- Download the game
- The Cloud Status is active
- Open the game
- Open the load game save and view nothing
- Close the game
- An error will appear about a sync error for the save data
- Tried resync but no success at all

Anyone have any tip?

If you used the cross progression feature (so linked your CDPR account) at time, you should be able to see the very last auto and manual saves (but not all of course).
Also found this on the net, not sure it still an issue today but check in case :
"the problem is an interaction between Steam and iCloud Private Relay. Turn off Private Relay, and cloud sync works again."

Yeah, I remembered that feature. But it was disabled in my account.

I was able to sync my save using my Steam Deck. I’ve activated the Cross Sync with CD Account and uploaded my save from the Steam Deck. Then I logged using my Mac and when I opened the game and try to load my save, it worked!

I do not know how to solve this issue without another windows/linux machine to sync the save.

Yeah you used the CDPR cross-progression included into the game which work no matter the platform (PC/Mac/PS5/Xbox/Switch/...) but is limited to two saves (one manual and one auto). About your Steam Cloud issue, you should contact directly Steam support for help because I'm not sure it have something to do with the game itself.
Does Steam Cloud work for other games? Or it return an error only for Cyberpunk?
