PROFILING BETA OUT NOW!
====================================================================================================
Description
An unofficial launcher for The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt
This launcher works pretty close to the old Witcher 2 launcher, both in design and functionality.
====================================================================================================
For now it includes:
==================================================
Launch game:
 • Obviously launches TW3
==================================================
Mods:
 • as of Version 1.09 do not expect much here!
 • It for now only provides a profile function which basically let's you have several different profiles and setups of the game
 • Provides an interface for the Mod Merger (will be removed when the full mod managing toolset is in place)
==================================================
Options:
 • provides support for the DLCs
 • provides support for SweetFX, Reshade and Mastereffect
 • provides support for W3HC - Witcher 3 Hunter's Config
 • provides support for the Debug Console Enabler.
==================================================

==================================================
thewitcher.com/REDKit
 • Takes you to the REDKit's homepage
==================================================
The Witcher 3 Nexus
 • Takes you to the Nexus Page
====================================================================================================
Manual Installation
Unpack you download to a directory of you choice, then simply double-click the installer and make sure you point the installation to the right place.
The "launcher.exe" and the "tw3laucnher" directory should reside inside the "...\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" directory.

[line]
Upgrade
Make sure you've uninstalled the old launcher first. to do this navigate to your "...\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" directory and double-click the unins0xx.exe (the xx represents a number, which is determined by how many DLCs and patches you've installed) which does NOT have the orange gog icon, but the wolf medallion icon instead.

If you have installed all 16 DLCs and only one patch, you it should be unins018.exe. (game (unins000.exe) + patch (unins001.exe) + 16 DLCs (unins002.exe, ...,unins017.exe) = unins018.exe for the launcher)

Any ways, if you found the right one, when double-clicked, it should ask you whether you want to uninstall the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Unofficial Launcher V1.07 (or the previous version you had installed).

regarding the mod manager i advise you to work with nexus mod manager (here is the dl link and forum section), it is an incredible too used it for the witcher 2 and skyrim.

I know about the nexus mod manager, have some mods hosted there as well ;)

The problem with the manager is, right now you still need the user to determine where to install the stuff.

I though about a self updating list which gets all the batch files in the various directories. You can tick which you want to install, this lists stays that way, and you simply hit an install button each update.
I will have to update it regardless if the REDKit is released. Then I can simply provide interfaces to other mod managers as I'm now doing with the debug console.

Version 1.07 released

Version 1.07 provides full functionality for all in-game options that make sense to be adjustable outside the game.
Version 1.07 works with gog.com version
Version 1.07 should work with Steam

I'm going to make this short. The following flowchart includes the major future releases. The key for the diagram is located at it's top.
For now there are no set release dates for versions 1.09 and up, as the schedule heavily depends on CDProjektRED's release schedule of patches, as I usually have to adjust some settings for the "Options" window to work as it should. Those points are also listed as "issues" on Github, so for latest dates, percentages of what is done and similar statistics, have a look here.

Keep in mind that this is only a plan with the most important features listed.
The underlying framework is also a thing I have to take care of to make this tool work as efficiently and solid as possible. Though I usually go for "solid" rather that "efficient", I'd rather loose some milliseconds of reaction time and use 10MB more RAM than the "optimum", but in the end I'm dealing with data worth about 80 - 200 hours of your free time, so I'd rather not loose it to an stupid exception.

You can download the latest full release here:

And the profiling beta here:

But that's enough babbling for one day, I'm back to work...
Until then, have fun!

Version 1.10 Out Now!

And this probably is the mother of all patches:
600+ fixes, various unnamed improvements and a size of about 15GB
Have a look at the changelog here.

Surprisingly this big patch did only require a few minor adjustments to the launcher, but I still haven't been lazy the past months although I've kept silence for most of the time.
I switched the whole internal file read and write system to a way more powerful library than before, which most of you won't even notice, but it's there.
But more importantly I incorporated the profiling function into the stable release of the launcher. The system I am using seems stable enough - none of the beta testers were able to break it which is a very good sign.

And I'm going to tell you another thing: The mod manager is coming along nicely as well. It's too early to talk about this in detail, but there will be a beta coming soon™.

And I'm still not done. I couldn't help myself, but to redo the main window once more, and this time I'm satisfied with it's looks. It is very close to it's predecessors but unique enough to be a new one.

But this should be the part which interests you most.

You can download version 1.10 of the launcher here:
Version 1.10 Download
Just make sure you follow the installation instructions.

If you were part of the profiling beta make sure to use this update and follow the installation instructions to the point, otherwise you'll probably loose your savegames:
Profiling Beta to 1.10 Update

This should be about it. So instead of rambling on I'll go back to work...

Until then, have fun!
Kad

@cyberpunkforever thanks a lot for pointing this out.
It's strange, I'm using the same code as on my signature, and it's working in the preview as well, just when posting it breaks the links.

Anyways I've changed the links to text, should work now, if not simply use my signature, takes you there as well.
