Will probably never happen, they already had difficulties to make PNJ driving "correctly" and there is still some bugs.
There are mods for that. There's no reason CDPR/Virtuos couldn't add that.

Yes, it's not about information every time (every single one). But it's interesting that after V's action, any significant action for public order is recorded. What would that look like? If there was a shootout between V and the police, and now he's standing by the TV or in his apartment, some AI algorithm would prepare an ad-hoc message like, "There was a shootout with police officers in district X. The perpetrators could not be identified, etc...." If V doesn't turn on the TV in his apartment or isn't standing by it, there's no action. This means that V's last significant action for public order is somehow crafted into a general news story. It's so general that you can create scripts (AI?) for key actions, e.g., a shooting, a damaged car, a burglary, etc., and they will always fit the context, dramatically increasing immersion. As long as the news "creation" mechanism is efficient, we'll always notice V's impact on the local environment of Night City.To be fair, NOT doing this can also be immersive in its own way.
Like, the general idea is that this is a dystopian future where individual lives are meaningless, with violence and death being commonplace.
Meaning having large scale firefights with high death tolls not make it to the media reports because such a thing happens so frequently it's no longer a noteworthy event, adds to that dystopian theme.
That said, some things do make it to the media. I remember seeing reports about the AV going down after doing Panam's mission on the TV (As well as radio reports about the EMP used during the mission) and vaguely recall some other missions triggering reports though I don't spend a lot of time around TV's - Only being near them when using elevators...
