Witcher 2 EE Launcher Crash on Steam first launch

When i try the offline steam thing it says invalid key

This is a recent problem correct? When I searched the problem on stesm's support forums all I found was posts from like 2011. I tried basically all the "fixes", Reinstalling Microsoft .NET,Renaming the Redist file, ECT. But sadly to no avail, My game still ceases to work. It was my last purchase on the steam summer sale. RATS! It is comforting to know that this is a somewhat recent problem.

Did the same thing for a couple of hours, decided to check the forums to see if there was a recent issue with it. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

Pfft likewise. Steam's forums where crap. Everyone had fixed their issues on the OLD steam forum posts. This must be some new problem.

Once again, the temporary solution is to

1. Run Steam in offline mode.
2. Disable network interfaces in the control panel.
3. Run the game

IT WILL WORK. ACHIEVEMENTS WILL BE CONFERRED when you next go online.

It just says invalid key for me (steam)

Ran it in offline. Works for me. Although it still continues to re-install Windows .NET which takes like 4 minutes. Game is still derping.

When i run Witcher.exe it opens up launcher and displays the message saying witcher 2 launcher application has stopped working

Still in the game when this error is
Ignore the error table , don't click " ok " . Drag a table through the error
And click " launch game " . This game is still running a normal
Don't worry about it

It runs offline the same as it did online yesterday, and doesn't install the .NET so I think it might just be the luck of the draw.
