Witcher 2 requires disc to be played again?

So last night I managed to download the EE patch and tried the game while having the game disc in the tray. Today I tried to play without the disc and it says I need the put the dic in the tray. Was no-disc compability removed in the EE patch?

Edit. It seems the message comes up, but I can still play without the disc by clicking 'Continue'. Any way to prevent the message from coming up?

Playing the wholly patched Enhanced Edition from GOG?

I'm putting away my C.E. disks for good Maybe in a shrine... hmm...

Yeah, that happened with previous patches as well. Re-install and apply the patch again. Should help.
