Yeah, it's not really a good criticism to say that this game should have offered an archery tree etc; the game character has a very particular history in this case (he's a witcher), and it would not have suited the game to add such an option.
Really, though, you don't need to rely on swords in this game- the magic and alchemy trees are fan-frickin-tastic, and not any less powerful than the sword tree.
But the guy in the middle really captured what I love about this game too- that it makes you think while you're playing, that it's not simply go there and do this; I hope this aspect is preserved in TW3.
Oh, and it should be noted that they played TW2 on PC with gamepads! So, see, people do play TW games on PC with gamepads. I just hope TW3 allows gamepad gameplay despite bringing back a PC UI in the PC version.
And haha, most people dislike the Kayran QTEs *sigh* I thought they were fun :\
