Witcher 2: The Reasons of State (Racja stanu) comic

Hi all, apparently the following Witcher 2 comic was included in the North American CE of The Witcher 2 (GameStop exclusive)

http://pozytywy.com/galeria/35404-nowa-opowiesc-komiksowa-ze-swiata-wiedzmina?46490#bt

http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Racja_stanu

Writer: Michal Galek
Artist: Arkadiusz Klimek
Coloured by: Łukasz Poller

I was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of the CE, but the comic was never included in the contents - I'd assume they must've ran out of stock

Has anyone who bought the CE received a copy of the comic? I admire the artwork style, and the story sounds intriguing as well.

I'd love it if CD Projekt released an English translation for the comic, or provide info on where to buy the Polish version.

AFAIK it was availalable with the standard edition too(as a Gamestop exclusive).
Prior to me buying the CE, I traded with a friend one old game of mine for a new standard copy of TW2 and that was included...

Not wanting to be crucified over here, but the story didnt seem special AT ALL... rather boring.

I bought my CE on Amazon and got only the normal CE contents, I wish I'd received this as I love comics and graphic novels. I suppose the Gamestop comic was in English? Can anyone kindly share it with us? (unless this violates some kind of copyright).

Interesting, was the comic just a preview or in its entirety ? Any chance you'd sell your copy?

The comic is kind of an "episode story". Its supposed to be 2 parts. I have the first. Its not related at all with the game. And AFAIK neither with Sapkowski's work, but as a setting reference. Geralt is after some kind of werewolf, thats creating some obvious havoc.

Id like to trade that standard TW2 copy for smthg else, ie. one of the many cool games that will be released till the end of the year. Id probably include in the package that comic with some other stuff of the CE I dont intend to keep. :)

The comic was generally available in almost every store in Poland. Each issue included additional info about the game, Andrzej Sapkowski etc. If you really really care about getting it and don't mind that it'll be entirely in Polish, you shouldn't have problems with shipping all the issues.

It probly didn't sell too well, so the only hope of an official english translation is, if they decide to release it in digital form.

Thanks for the info BlueBrotha, shipping costs aren't an issue for me.

Do you have an URL link or more info on which Polish retailer I can order it from?

If anyone has the Polish edition or English translations, I'm willing to pay via PayPal for the issues.

The story was released by EGMONT POLSKA as part of a series called "komiksowe hity" (comic hits). However for some reason it's not listed on the english page of the site.

You can order it from a site called merlin.pl. Here are the links to each issue (not sure if I can post stuff like this, so I apologize in advance):

http://merlin.pl/Wiedzmin-Racja-stanu-cz-1_Egmont-Polska/browse/product/1,916653.html - first part
http://merlin.pl/Wiedzmin-Racja-stanu-czesc-2-numer-3-11_Egmont-Polska/browse/product/1,924870.html - second part

Unfortunately there's no english version of the site (as far as I know), except for two notes about the shipping costs and how to use the site:

Hmm. It's good stuff, but I cherish the short story I got with TWEE. Thats what they should include in the console version, not a comic...wait, a comic would probably be easier to digest. :p

Profiting money from this rubs me the wrong way... but Id be willing to trade it for a copy of "The Last Wish". Even if it's used, but in good condition (I gifted my own copy this Christmas).

Slim; that short story got the best first line EVER to introduce a character: "Later, it was said that the man came from the North, form Ropers Gate".

Thanks for the website links, BluesBrotha.

The price is 9,99 zloty though? How does Polish currency work exactly? Perhaps it's 9.99 zloty ($3.45 CAD)? Which is more reasonable.

Maybe it's the shipping method you chose? It seems they listed Thailand in their delivery destinations.

This whole thread reminds me that I need to start learning Polish. All I know is "Wiedźmin" and "Koniek odcinka", from the mini-series, heh.

Would you be willing to trade now or later during the winter holidays? I actually have a copy of "The Last Wish" in a very good condition.

The comic was a pre-order bonus through gamestop in NA. I recieved mine when I picked up my CE at midnight release. I thought the art style was very good and would love to see the artist and writers keep the comic going. Unfortunately there are no plans for that currently.

I also have an English MINT condition copy of the comic book (bagged and boarded). I also got the CE and the Last Wish novel.

I can see that comic being worth some money in a few years and it's VERY rare.
