Witcher 2 version number

I've got the Witcher 2 EE recently downloaded from GOG and I've also got the patcher that comes in the additional content. I've tried loading the patcher file and before that the pre-downloader I had and neither one can find the game??? Do I need to run the 2.0 patcher or is the GOG download the most recent release of the game?

Also is there any easy way to check the version number of the game?

Go to your install directory and open the witcher 2/bin folder , then locate and hover your mouse over the witcher2exe and in the dialog box that appears there will be a version number . As of 4/17/2012 the version nuber would read 3.0.20054.8512
