Xbox 360 - Chapter 03: Iorverth's Path Defeating the Dragon

When I am on top of the tower and fighting the Dragon on Xbox 360 the controls do not work properly.

When I want to roll-out of the way of the fire my character just stands there and it takes a long time before he starts to roll thus burning me with fire. I am using Quen but it only lasts for a short period of time; other times when fighting other characters my Quen lasts a long time; it even surrounds my character long after the fight is over…

As a note: I installed both discs to the Xbox 360 when I started playing the game.

I can’t defeat the Dragon because my controls are not working properly and I feel like returning this game. I can’t even finish the damn game!

I`m pretty sure Quen only last until you take a certain amount of damage, I never advanced to far past the first few stages of magic so maybe I`m wrong.

Quen last until you take damage, if you don't take damage it burns out eventually.

The dragon's attacks knock Quen out after one or two hits even on normal, from what I remember.

i hate the arena mode u cant reply when u dead i mean u have to quit the screen and start again the skipping whole convesation why do'nt u just put a restart from wave 1 with zero points .. but some kind a button and fix mini game issue with arena mode why the hell u made the arm wrestling guy bar so small u can'nt even beat him why CDproject if u dont want us to win why u put there at first place and fix issues of textures as well.. u calimed that its best looking RPG game till now on xbox 360.. no way i totally disagree skyrim has more potential then witcher 2 it has smooth textures and they fix problem and u dont give any patch for these issues or comments.. and even mass effect 3 has better graphis then witcher 2 its one of the best looking game but its not the best looking game ok CD Project

I didn't pay attention to how long my quen lasted, but my controls worked pretty well. The problem I have is that I don't have the option to kill the dragon after we crash. igoes right to sparing her life.

I finally was able to complete the Dragon fight. I was victorious by using Quen and jumping-in and out quickly chopping at the Dragon until I wore the Dragon out. It seemed like a very long fight; my wrists were getting sore; I had to pause the game for a few seconds during the fight.

I got the choice to kill the dragon. I thought it would be mean to kill her but she was such a pain in the ass fighting on top of that tower shooting down trying to knock Geralt down and burning Geralt. That fight was so...long; I was sick and tired of her so I chose to kill her.

Before Gerald killed her he approched her and gently rubbed her face before running her through with his sword. And yes, I saved Triss...

Well, I'm glad to hear you finally got it done, but I really wonder what you're doing wrong... I don't want to sound like the usual "zomg dis game so easy n00b" internet chest-pounder, but I did the dragon fight on Hard just yesterday night, and it seriously took like five minutes. Cast Quen, roll in, slash slash, roll away, rinse, repeat.

Like I stated before: many times in the fight on top of the tower; the Xbox 360 controls were unresponsive. Gerald would get stuck and not move much of the time. I had to work around it the best I could; That’s what took so long. If the Xbox 360 controls were responsive like they are supposed to be I could have killed the dragon much faster.

When I fought Letho my controls responded correctly and I trapped him in a corner and killed him quickly…

I´ll post here rather than start a new thread.. I´m on chapter 3 now and finally, after really long wait crafted pair of Vanguard trousers. Problem is that there is no textures present (see pic). Is it just me or is this common problem? Tried reloading, rebooting and so on and no help. Every other clothe seem to work just fine, these are the only, amazing invisible pairs..

E: Oh, forgot to mention that I´m playing 360 version.. And also just noticed that I posted this in a wrong place..
